I'm a white guy from the UK who loves hip-hop, but it is sad to see the struggles that the average black man has to go through in America today.

Will things ever change?

As a black man from UK, I can only say that life will become a little easier for other black men, when they start applying themselves more.

There are so many successful black people around, and I'm sorry to say mainstream hip-hop portrays us negatively. Some black men dont do much to solve their own problems, neither take advantage of opportunities, they seem obsessed with upholding a lame gangster image.

Sure the average black man is struggling, but so is the average white, asian, latino, etc. That's just life. We need to work harder as individuals to get some where in life, rather than acting like the world hates and owes us. I really admire all those black people who really work hard for a living and make the most of what they have.

You are misled, and lied to. Black man in America do not struggle in general in America. Every race has its own poor and rich, and if you really thought that ALL BLACK MAN in America struggles everyday to be heard, than you WILL BE WRONG. I am a Black man myself, and never been discriminated, nor refused for work. In America, you will get where ever, regardless of your race, religion, if you put into it and work hard for it.

Not all race is descriminated, I don't know what part of the world you are living. Of course there is racism, but not to the extent where you are told, you are not qualified for a job, when you come with your college degree.
GO TO SCHOOL.

I hope so, they have come along way since they got there freedom from slavery, but they still have along way to go, the good American black people have to work very hard to make it in a profession, the goverment fail the poor American black people i think thats why they are involved in crime to try make a living, the goverment need to invest in education in black areas and also in the ghetto's to make there life's easier, the law(cops) in American also victimise innocent black people which is wrong and that needs to stop, we are all equal, and i think things will change for the the good and am glad
