Do you support assisted suicide to those who choose to die a dignified and pain free death? I'm not talking about people who are depressed. I mean for those of us who are basically at the end of meaningful life. I see no nobility in suffering to death when the end can come peacefully and painlessly. What do you think? Please...I'm asking ONLY my fellow agnostic/atheists!

I'm going to become someones Godmother in february, but i don't want to go for the classic silver tooth holders and stuff, because everyone else will be getting them and at the end of the day they just get shoved in a cupboard. So does anyone have any ideas? The little girl in question will be 7 months old in february.

If sexual orientation is really a choice, shouldn't we all have the ability to choose another for one day? or one minute? and then choose to go back.
Could you choose to become attracted to your same sex?

((I apologize if this seems unrelated to religion and spirituality, but I believe it is due to the overwhelming discrimination involved))

I'm familiar with the reasons for male circumcision in the Jewish religion. It was required as a physical sign of the covenant between them and God, and the "operation" did not interfere with regular sexual intercourse. Women, however, were never supposed to be circumcised. Such a procedure would only create misery. If this is done in the Muslim faith, why is it done?

As we all known religion is a very contraversial subject. A lot of people don't want to consider they might be wrong, I know I don't have all the answers (no one does) and as such I'm open to the possibility I could be wrong. (I'm atheist by the way).

Lots of people use religion as a crutch to help them through difficult times or to have something to look forward to after life.

So my question is this: if your beliefs could be proven wrong without a shadow of a doubt, would you want to know?

concepts of hinduism
"Here to mock are conceit, our apprehensions, and our despair, we may read what Manu said, perhaps 10,000 years before the birth of Christ about Evolution:
'The first germ of life was developed by water and heat.' (Book I, sloka 8,9 )
'Water ascends towards the sky in vapors; from the sun it descends in rain, from the rains are born the plants, and from the plants, animals.' (Book III, sloka 76).
(source: Philosophy of Hinduism - By T C Galav p 17).
"Ages before Lamarck and Darwin it was held in India that man has passed through 84 lakhs (8,400,000) of birth as plants, animals, as an "inferior species of man" and then as the ancestor of the developed type existing to-day"

evolution, what do you think of the presence of this in something considered to be a religion?

PICKTHAL: And when We put a revelation in place of (another) revelation, - and Allah knoweth best what He revealeth - they say: Lo! thou art but inventing. Most of them know not.
SHAKIR: And when We change (one) communication for (another) communication, and Allah knows best what He reveals, they say: You are only a forger. Nay, most of them do not know.

I am serious there are other items being sold such as DVD and CD's of services, books, water, soda, potatoe chips the is suppose to be healthier we are told. Every Jan. the congregation is told to fast and pray. Then on Jan. 2006 we were told to fast 100% juice only (no food). For as long as we can take it. Then the 100% juice was sold to teach us this is what we were told by the Pastor to teach us how to fast and pray. The Pastor e-mail's everyone with his journal about his fasting experince for 40 days. It says in the bible fasting and praying in secret. I have been attending this church for 3 years. I try to block out some of these odd things that are going on since last Jan. 2006. I am not the only one that attends this church that is getting confused about what is doing on. We have been thinking about attending another church or just taking a break read the bible at home. Let God minister to us at home by reading the bible. This is a serious question Please help us!
