I just would like to add that female circumcision may involve only cutting off the clitoris, cutting off the clitoris plus the outer vaginal lips, or cutting off the clitoris plus the outer and inner vaginal lips. This is usually done right before puberty and without any anesthesia. Infections and lifelong pain are a common result. Needless to say, this is truly barbaric. So is every type of male circumcision.

I'm a Muslim and my religion most certainly does not demand women be circumcised. There are certain countries where the culture has female circumcision and that is there cultural practice. Some of those people of that culture are Muslim along with Christians and other faiths who are circumcised but it has nothing to do with there religion and more to do with there cultural history. I would never allow anyone to circumcise any of my daughter or myself for that matter.

Actually, the reason for circumcision in males was to prevent infection of the area between the foreskin and the glans (head of penis), as well as to desensitize it (men with foreskins cant "last" as long - they are too sensitive, and intercourse is over in a matter of seconds...) the whole "physical sign of the convenant" was just the BS reason they gave to convince you to mutilate your child's body.
I do not beleive Muslims practice this. I beleive it is practiced by tribes in Africa. The purpose is to make sex unenjoyable to the female. Because we all know how religious idealogy and patriarchial societies make women out to be second class citizens...

It appears like she is the guy who, with the help of instigating the wreck up of the courting, is making the unwise selection. She isn't reliable sufficient to stand with the help of what she believes and fearfully caved into her father and mom' perspectives. you mustn't replace your opinion to thrill her or her father and mom. actual getting circumcised to maintain the courting might desire to be out of the question. it relatively is an entire life too overdue. in case you stand back from the region slightly, you already know that it relatively is thoroughly laughable that something which includes a foreskin ought to get interior the way of affection. yet people who "believe" in circumcision enable this to take place. the possibility of breaking with custom is petrifying to them. you're an occasion to her and her father and mom of somebody who held with the help of their theory. You affirmed their doubts - besides the shown fact that subconscious they have been - that THEY have been being ridiculous and that the completed circumcision factor is a foul employer besides. it relatively is completely achievable that your female pal ought to alter her techniques at some point and experience sorry approximately that she permit you bypass. human beings, myself coated, have been oftentimes going on to bypass via stories in life that cause them to thoroughly rid themselves of morally degenerate, backwards and irrational perspectives. that's good distance of asserting that painful and regretful and baffling as your courting replaced into, it had meaning, it had purpose, it had value. Be happy in understanding that it served the ends that it served.

Female circumcision is not allowed in Islam. It is seen as mutilation and is banned in most Muslim countries.

No, this is false. its not religious at all but a brutal cultural thing.
this is the religion:
[30:22] And of His Signs is that He has created wives for you from among yourselves that you may find peace of mind in them, and He has put love and tenderness between you. In that, surely, are Signs for a people who reflect.

To keep women from enjoying sex ! If they don't enjoy sex, they stay faithful to their husbands! The only thing women are good for is caring for their husbands, and giving them children. It's probably the most bizzar reasoning I've ever heard , but, that's it. Let's be thankful that all religions don't feel that way !!!! Most societies have realized that women can contribute just as much as men. It's sad that there are still some very backward people out there !!!!

Male circumcision is also a must in Islam.
Female one is not. The ones who perform it, are ignorant. It is done in Sudan and poor stricken parts of Egypt, no where else.

This is only done in one sect of Islam in Africa and a very very small one, it has to do with their culture not religion. Get the facts right, from people who know.
