I'm having trouble with meditating. First of all, I can't ever get myself to start doing it. When I do it, I never feel like I'm doing it right. This happened when I was a Christian and I couldn't bring myself to pray enough, and now I don't feel like I meditate enough. I am frustrated with it because afterward I don't feel any sharper or more alert, or more relaxed. Does anyone have any good advice on how I can improve my practice? I have tried "following the breath" and visualizing things and even mantras, but nothing seems to help. Advice on Buddhist meditation is preferred, but general tips on meditation could help, too.

worried about conduct of people outside the church and inside not so much.

Gay's who want marriage outside yet and amendment???
people on TV and radio, outside the church yet censorship ??,

Inside the church gossip runs rampant,

Inside the church whisperers railers, leadership who is not held accountable, don't hear or see much about these from the church, a little once in a while, and I know lotsa good people not doing all these but where are our priorities
Come out from among them?? does that mean change them??
are you concerned and if so what are you doing about it ??

Okay, I've heard that there are lots of people who claim to be Jedi (if you haven't heard of a jedi, they are kind of like monks with super powers from the 'star wars' films). If you were to force feed a moslem a bacon sandwich, would he/she explode and burst into flames? Would the mastication of that bacon sandwich consign the moslem to Hell? Would Osama turn in his grave?
