Some rappers DO act like hoodlums and gorillas. It's not limited to just one ethic or racial group. Emenim and Snoop Dog are about the same. They vulgar, hoodlums and act like gorillas.

The messages in their music is completely dimwitted and nonsensical!

It is your opinion. But I don't think you've seen too many gorrillas in heat or hoodlums for that matter. I don't think you know what their itch is either.

To me, rappers are getting exactly what they want - money, and a lot of it. Money equals respect and status when you've grown up poor.

It is hard to get rid of habits and the things you've done your whole life. Money doesn't automatically give you class. They will always be involved with drugs and guns just as Britney Spears will always be trailer trash. It's just how they were raised.

Yes, it is true that white America is the one that feeds the most off of this lifestyle. They're buying the CDs and seeing them in concert. If they weren't selling, then the black rappers would change their act.

Well, interestingly enough, I live in a predominantly white suburb and the music I hear blaring most often from the white teens in our area is the uncut, uncensored versions of the most thuggish and gangster-ish black rappers out there!! It's not black people making these guys rich, (in many urban communities they can get bootleg copies) it's well off white children. They obviously don't agree with you and have found something worthwhile in the music. So whether you think that they look stupid or not, the respect comes from the dollars paid to listen to the music.

I agree in order to get respected you need to have respect but I wouldn't call anyone names like gorilla. lol and it's not only the black rappers there are a lot of "pop" singers doing the same thing.

Apparently that is what is selling records. There are many rappers who are the exact opposite of what you describe. But, thats not what is mainstream right now. Blame it on the white rich guys who own the record labels capitolizing off of hip hop culture.

You are stupid not all rappers act like that look at Pdiddy, Ludacris, Kanye West, Lauryn Hill, The roots, Pharrel and the Neptunes etc.. And why is it neccessary to say "Black" rappers, but from looking at your name I can see that you are a racist prick.

You are so right. As a woman I am offended by the music these days. Rappers have no respect for women and women who have no self respect love them. It's sickening.
