I'm a senior in high school, and 4 teachers wrote me recommendations.

Teacher #1: Wrote me 9 college recommendations and 1 National Merit Semifinalist recommendation.

Teacher #2: Wrote me 9 college recommendations.

Teacher #3: Wrote me 2 college recommendations, one was only on ONE DAY'S NOTICE!

Teacher #4: Wrote me 1 recommendation with plenty of notice.

My mom bought each of these teachers a $15 gift certificate to a gourmet food shop and restaurant. I do not think that this is enough. Should I go out and buy them some more gifts? I do not think my mother's gifts match their generosity.

Okay, here's my problem. My husband is laid off & yes, he can get unemployment...BUT there is a 3 week waiting period & he can't open a claim until December 10th, making the first check date Dec. 27th. We don't get cash assistance. We have 4 children ages 15, 14, 12, & one who will be 6 on the 28th. The older 3 belong to my ex husband who is almost 14 grand behind in support payments & I've called & called enforcement BUT they can't locate him to get payment enforced. I don't belong to a church & because I don't get public assistance I don't believe I can go to the Salvation Army to sign up for their program. We have $1300 in our savings, but we will definitely need that to eat & to pay our shelter costs. I inquired about Toys for Tots, which is an awesome program except they have one downfall, the kids pick out their presents a few days prior to Christmas...which means I would have to let my 6 year old know there is no Santa & the magic he gets in his eyes about Santa is the best part

they host various sporting competitions without any of their players.
the fact is that they cannot play any sport but go on to host: football, tennis, rugby, cricket, golf, and many, many more. despite all this they have not produced a single sporting hero.
if they didn't have so many wives then perhaps they may have a little energy left for sport.

because the people who use the word are ignorant!

Now how are Christians ignorant? doesn't ignorant mean 1.without education or knowledge
2.Exhibiting lack of education or knowledge
3. Unaware or uninformed

so if THERE ignorant that must be because all the bible bashers have READ the bible and UNDERSTAND it and don't LACK any information, RIGHT! because I'm dang sure more Christians have went through much much more education than atheists.

Following the tempest in a tea kettle created over Michael Richards' rant, that moron Jesse Jackson saw an opportunity to draw attention to himself so he asked that all blacks refuse to purchase "Seinfeld" season 7. Is he an idiot or what? The only people fooled by Jesse Jackson's tripe are black people--no other groups of people give a damn what Jesse Jackson says or thinks--and yet "Seinfeld" is NEVER watched by blacks. There probably are not 100 blacks in the country who watch "Seinfeld." Is Jackson so out of touch with reality that he really thinks a black boycott of "Seinfeld" is going to make any difference at all. He may as well request that all men to stop buying Tampax.

Incidentally, Entertainment Tonight reported that "Seinfeld' season 7 has broken ALL previous records for sales for "Seinfeld" seasons.

Jesse needs to remember to confine his influence to blacks who believe his crap.

Why does there seem to be so many religious cults in the USA? I was watching Oprah and it had all these cults, some had a million wives and even more children, one of them were the seventh day adventists...why does the government let it go on? I mean why don't they step in and free all the innocent children caught up in these ghastly cults?

There is this girl friend of mine that invited me to her church / meeting she's knows that I don't claim any religions so I went along to the meeting, the name of the religion is call "Jehova Witness" Then when I got there she did not approve of what I was wearing ...mind you I was covered in a pair of long blue jean pants and boots and my leather coat but she told me to sit in the back.

And another thing that trips me out about her is when I'm at her house and if a christmas commercial happen to be on television she'll jump for the remote and change the channel...And for what ever reasons I just cannot fall asleep at her house without starting off with a night mare... I'm serious guys! Any ways...We're not as close anymore but this is what she told me before we stop talking she say that I was going to hell just because I told her that I kinda like the christians religion better not the "holy ghost" type but just regular christians and she got mad at me.
