I think objectivity and logic may have something to do with it perhaps.

Because some of my relatives, while human, certainly act like monkeys most of the time.

It makes perfect sense to me.

Well, I hold a degree from an Ivy League school, am a member of Mensa, and a believer in Christ, the Son of God. I believe in Creation, not evolution. Amazing how I turned out Christian even with a liberal education. IQ and education have nothing to do with accepting the Truth.

Probably the education. Higher education tends to open a person up to wider possibilities, and to encourage analytic reasoning and critical thinking. Individuals with higher IQ have a tendency to attend more college - though this is not a hard and fast rule.

I would also like to see the statistics that back up your claim.

Some of the most intelligent people who ever lived believed in Christ.I have also met backwoods farmers who could not read but when they opened the Bible they could read every word.

A good poem about evolution:

First I was amoeba when I began to begin,
Then I was a tadpole with my tail tucked in,
Then I was a monkey in a banyon tree,
Now I'm a doctor with a PhD.

Not to brag, I have a high IQ (genius) and I am a believer and I'm sure there are many others. The one guy with a IQ up to 200 may be smart but he can't figure out how to enter heaven w/o Jesus.

Perhaps they accept as true the theory of evolution because they need a 'rational' and 'scientific' theory to work with, and they cannot consider the idea that a higher intelligence might be involved in the design of life on this planet.

While we cannot prove the existence of a higher intelligence, neither can we prove that the theory of evolution is correct, and I think that the balance of evidence points to intelligent design!

The thing with evolution is that, like all of science, it is falsifiable. This means you can disprove it. So there is your chance. I won't hold my breath though.

Your low IQ is more than apparent from your very general question that provides absolutely no proof of your assumption. Your ignorance is overwhelming.

I think it has more to do with pride. And a post-modern yearn to bring down everything institutional.
