they host various sporting competitions without any of their players.
the fact is that they cannot play any sport but go on to host: football, tennis, rugby, cricket, golf, and many, many more. despite all this they have not produced a single sporting hero.
if they didn't have so many wives then perhaps they may have a little energy left for sport.

First of all, Dubai is NOT a nation. It is a CITY. The city is probably 1/10th the size of New York city, maybe smaller. It has a 93% population of expatriates. The local Dubai people only make 7% of the population. Its a beautiful place and a HUGE attraction for tourists. They are open for foreigners to live there (just like other highly UNpopulated places like canada), but unlike canada they do not allow naturalization to aquire citizenship (its just a city). so i really don't think its farcical. Its the best place in the world. I'm an American whose lived there for 7 years and would love to get a job to transfer me there again. Its the best. Long live DUBAI!

Another Muslim racist. What the hell? Dubai is a city in the UAE which happens to be a very rich country I believe. Anyway what makes you think the UAE doesn't play sports? And just because Muslim men in Dubai, in all of UAE have more than one wife doesn't mean that they can't play sports. So in answer to your question NO and grow up.

No, because Dubai is not a nation; UAE is. Regardless of how many competitors the UAE has contributed, it is a wonderful location and venue.
