What's so wrong with having a physical preference for a mate based on race and features? Some people like short types, muscular types, etc.....I'm a black male attracted to fair skinned petite girls. Always have been. So what?. My white girlfriends have also confided that they are attracted to dark men. Of course the rest is all about personalities, chemistry, love, and how we get along. But how is this any different from people who are simply attracted to their own race. People who look just like them? Some people like the "other". And the stereotype of black men dating white girls for status doesn't fly. I'd rather be with a fine sister who I'm proud to show off any day over a lackluster white girl. That whole thing is a myth. People say sometimes (which I think is a lie) that race doesn't matter. But for some people, like me, it's a major draw. And I'm not afraid to talk about it with my partners.

We spent all day hanging Christmas lights only to find out that the whole strand was just barely too short. We have about 10 inches over the garage that is bare! That's too short to buy another strand for and too long to leave as is. So, that got me wondering, What do other people do when they have this problem? Should we buy another strand and take out most of the bulbs? or Should we take all the lights down and repostions them so the bare spot is less noticeable? Or is there another solution I'm missing?
Any Advice?

I have a doc that I work with that is a complete ***. I am sure he does not know that I don't care for him, I just try to keep my distance. We recently had a carry in for thanksgiving and he tried to dictate what I needed to bring in for it! As we were eating he openly refused to eat something stating" the person who made the food looked like their house was dirty , since he made this comment all the other co-workers laughed and proceeded to pass over this co-workers dish due to his comment. Last night I wiped the counter with chlorox wipes and he loudly but indirectly said something about me using *ucking wipes that everyone except idiots knows he hates. While he is a excellenct doc he is very cocky, and cliquish . I am sure his gayness has something to do with his bitchy behavior, and rude comments. One of my male co-workers said that there is no room for a black womans attitude and a gay man drama that attitudes clash and this is the reason we can't get along. What do you think?

I am not really looking to gut houses, and I am looking for something that I can do for 3-4 days. I am skilled in marketing/advertising and on the internet. I am also very artisitic and good with kids. Can anyone point me to a way to find a project or something specifically that you know of?

if the only only source of reference is the book itself. how can one sensibly answer questions related to the bible if all of the evidence supporting this book is contained within the book.

how can one become a mechanic if there was no information from which to draw. could one be a plumber without multiple sources of information to support their learning.

I am asking this question because I just posted a question a few minutes ago. Some of the answers I received were from people who could find no way to answer the question, except to use the bible as a reference. I didn't require expert opinions, just basic information on one major topic of religion.

I was recently in a car crash and in ICU for nearly a month. Often when i had to have my sheets changed and such my parents had to wait in the ICU waiting room. The same time i was there a child of a middle eastern family was there, so my parents and the middle eastern family offen exchanged hellos and such. At one point the middle eastern family told my parents that they would pray to 'Allah'(sp?) for me. Now i'm not religous so to me it was the same as just saying they hope i get better.

My question is for those that are more religous or even atheists... Would you be offended if you were one religion and some one said they would pray to what you concider a false god for you? If your atheist, would you get mad if anyone said they would pray to any god for you?

I honestly think god had nothing to do with it, me still being here is due to some wonderful doctors. I was just wondering what others would think or do in a simular situation.
