It's all about giving thanks for your family and what you have. If you can though I encourage any one who can to volunteer at a soup kitchen and keep all those who are less fortunate in your prayers. You can donate canned goods to a local Food Bank or money to an International Hunger Program such as Freedom from Hunger. There are millions of people out there who will go hungry on Thanksgiving as they do everyday. Not just people in underdeveloped countries around the world, but also right in the U.S. kids and others are straving. Many just getting only one meal a day. Two on rare occassions.

The government now says 35 million Americans don't know where their next meal is going to come from, and that number includes 13 million children. That is the US alone.

To me it is sad to see some people talking about how much they are going to eat and sleep during the Thanksgiving holidays while at the same time people right around the block and millions around the world will be starving and some they having no inkly or thought about what is going on and many who do really don't care or don't do anything in there power to help. After gorging and full food is wasted like it is as abundate as water while those lacking food can't afford to waste anything and despite that still wouldn't be enough to satisfy their hunger. When you think about it just a small act of kindness or some type such as a few canned goods would make a big difference in a family's life, especially at this time of year. Just wanted to give everyone something to think about. Just do what you can. It takes a collaborative effort.

Thanks and have a safe and happy thanksgiving holiday.

can an omniscient being know what it is like to not know something? ie how can god know what it is like to be a man or a frog ?

if you suggest that god knows what it is like to be a man - because he was a man (ie jesus) then did he know what it was like to be a man before he was jesus?

My friend, who's also my coworker, left work at noon to drive home to her parents house for Thanksgiving. They live 10 hours away. My boss' wife kept telling her over and over again to drive safely and be careful. My friend said, "Don't worry about me... it's the other drivers I need to worry about." Then the boss' wife left and I said to my friend, "What was that all about? Did she have a bad dream or something?"

My friend just called us at work and she was in a bad accident. Someone cut her off as she was driving, she went off the side of the road down an incline, and her car flipped over. She said she's okay but her car is totalled. I feel so horrible! Instead of telling her to have a safe drive, I poked fun at my boss' wife for telling her to be careful! Did I jinx her? Is that possible?

after we die we become spiritual beings in another dimension, not on earth not anything like this existance. we become conscious of the purpose of the universe and recognize to interfere with earth and human life, is to compromise the spiritual world. therefore contact is not only forbidden, it is survival. we humans know nothing of the beyond, and there is reason.

am i high?

Any ideas? Here's mine. Space exploration. A lot of prejudice is born of a small concept of space and time. But when you realize how old the universe is, you realize how little time HUMANITY has had to get its crap together. When you realize how big the universe is, you realize we're very, very alone, and other HUMAN BEINGS are all we've got. Race gives way to species, and species gives way to Earthlings. Carl Sagan knew it when he took a picture of Earth from millions of miles away and called it a "pale, blue dot." Science has value beyond fighting diseases and building weapons.

Maybe this is no big deal to some of you, but if you've ever gone to Subway, have you noticed that when you are waiting for yours to get out of the toaster the person behind you in line skips ahead? Then, once yours is done, you have to now wait for the person who was formarly behind you in line to get done with their business at the register. I'm sure the mentality is that they can finish serving the other person before yours is done, but this rarely happens - why then don't I get my place back in line? Regardless, don't you think Subway should serve people in order? I go there a lot for lunch and although it's not a huge deal I find it annoying. What do you think?

So, god created us in his likeness... . Which likeness were we created in... Black, white, yellow, brown, light brown, deep tanned skin, black hair, blond hair, blue eyes, brown eyes...Tall, short, fat, thin ? (From my own view point it must be ... short fat and balding ... but I am biased!)

Our "we are evil white people" society has gone overboard. Some blacks do look like chimps....and if so and they act up in public they get what they get....this is freedom of speech...Why are all of the "do gooders", "compassionate" , socially accepted ones complaining about this. David Chappelle and other blacks make jokes and even innuendos about whites but I never hear anyone question them. Is it because they have been historically discriminated against? I am white and affirmative action and those with the idea that I was born with a spool in my mouth and do not deserve a break...

Christians chose one either u r free do to any any any crime OR u r abide to do GOOD to enter HEAVEN. And if u r free to do any crime then it means God doing injustice that someone else took ur punishment which is not God's property AND if u r abide to do good then JESUS not took ur punishment.? is this ideology digestable ? What is ur opinion ?

As a white man, this is a rediculous solution. They were taken by force to America by white Americans.
