i would love thoughts on this from all Muslims regardless of country or sect or anything else.
do you agree that we are all one?

we all worship Allah and believe Muhammad(as) as His Prophet. can we not have our beliefs about the Imams (as) and all else and just call ourselves Muslims so long as they do not deviate from the Quran and Sunnah?

ps i am a Muslim.... i do not use the title of either Sunni or Shiia any longer. Islam was meant to set up a community so i do everything in my power to strengthen that community and not divide it. i go to mosques of both sunnis and shiias...and only correct other Muslims when they say something that is against the Quran. **do you think this is the right approach?

With Christmas looming and parties on the way, I am sick of people judging me about my drinking habits!!!!!! Personally I dont like the feeling of being drunk, throwing up or not been able to get out of bed the following day. I drink very little when I am out but I still enjoy myself, I am always first up on the dance floor, laugh with everyone and tell funny stories and really enjoy myself, so why is it that people constantly offended or call me an old woman because I dont wish to get drunk!!!!!.

I red the Bible but i didn't notice what was the belief of Jesus, was He Christian or Jewish or what? Did Jesus said for his Followers Be Christian ? when we hear about this word Christianaty and who said it?

Christmas is suppose to be the one time of year people spread around goodwill and peace!!!!!!!!!! Where then the heck is it!!!!! At work everyone is moaning about sending out christmas cards and not to bother just to send the money to charity, have they heard of charity christmas cards sounds to me like they can not be bothered, then everyone complains christmas is too commerical and all about money. Does anyone else out there agree with me that I love christmas it only happens once a year and you can spend as little or as much as you like, it is the thought that counts and I love seeing people faces at christmas when they open there presents.

JWs used to worship Jesus, but in 1954 the Watchtower stated that this was idolatry. (for details see http://jwfacts.com/index_files/worshipjesus.htm)

Does anyone know how JWs reacted back then? From my point of view, which God to worship is a religions most significant doctrine. To change this would have totally shaken my confidence that the Watchtower had been directed by God to interpret truth. So why did the religion not crumble then?

Muslims believe that there's none but Allah. According to Islam all decendants of Adam and Eve. So far there're only Four religious books recognized by Islam. Those are Taurat, received from God by Abraham, Zabbur, received from God by Moses, Inzil or Bible, from God by Jesus Christ and the last one is Quran, received from God by Prophet Mohammad PBUH. So was allah unaware of Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism whish were much more older than Islam and other religions ?? Either Allah had a very little knoledgwe about religion or Allah was arogent and sayd Islam is best and he concederd ohers as Kafir. Allah should know that its not only bad to say nonmuslims Kafir - it confinds Islam, and now Allah must be repenting seeing all Bin Ladends in Islam killing people only for Islam. Allah do u hear me ?? So muslims come out, start learning other religions they are as good as Islam, atleast thaey dont have Bin Ladens.

What is Islam?

Islam is (composed of) three (main) areas: Utterance, faith, and deeds.
The utterance was explained in chapter 4.

I'm starting to date this jewish guy. What should i know? He wears a bracelet with his hebrew name on it, do all jews wear those? I know he doesn't celebrate pagan holidays but does celebrate jewish holidays...what kind of jew is he?? Is there anything anyone can tell me that I might need to know?

Alotta christians are quick to condemn muslims and islam
Haven't they study their own religion's background? There will always be a few fanatics in every religion who go out and decieve others to join their crusade/jihad!

At the moment islam is in the spotlight.A few years back it was the irish (catholics and protestants). And the Jews are also guilty of bombing rite now.

In Uganda there is a rebel group who are christians that kill ppl (esp women and raping them) and kidnap boys to fight for them. There damned leader think he is the embodyment of the HOLY GHOST!

Why don't you(muslims,christians,jews) give each other a break? There are and will always be a few crazy folks!

(I believe that what is going on in the media and people not understanding Islam is due to three factors:

1- Ignorance
2- Influence of TV
3- The fact that average Muslims
(like you and I, do not talk about Islam, thus our neighboors pretty much do not get the info out of the horse's mouth)

I think we are letting others show their own opinions about Muslims and we are not doing enough to clear up missconceptions.

What can you do to Clear misconceptions about Islam and Muslims?
