Before you give your heart to Jesus, you are like a thirsty person, searching for water. That is why people go into all sorts of things, like the occult, etc. It is because they are searching for Truth and for something to fill the emptiness inside. They are thirsty.
But if you drink of the water that Jesus gives (give your heart to Him and do His will in your life), you will thirst no more. Also, if you accept Him only as your personal saviour, you will go to heaven, which is eternal life.
The Lord lay His hand upon you in your search.

The water He mean that the one drinks it will not be thirsty again is the Lord Jesus Himself. Those who accept and receives the life Jesus gives are never in want even if they are in want, there is that assurance that they will make it because the Lord is with them.

Through symbolism, he was showing the differences between God's Torah and the laws of the Pharisees. People who drink the "water" of the Pharisees will always thirst, since that "water" can never satisfy. But people who drink of the waters of God's Torah would be satisfied and never thirst.
Torah states - Deut 8:3 "He humbled you and let you be hungry, and fed you with manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD."
Torah comes from the mouth of God, therefore man lives by Torah. The laws of the Pharisees come from the mouths of men, men cannot live by man's law and man's laws never answer all questions (always thirsty).
Men's laws do not satisfy the need for proper justice, so men always look for more. But God's Torah satisfies the spirit, the soul, man's need for justice - so many things that the laws of men cannot do.

Well the water that we drink (such as the water from your tap or bottle) we can quench our physical thirst, but we will again, in time be thirsty again. However our spiritual thirst is quenched fully by Jesus, hence we will never be thirsty again since His well never runs dry and it continues to bubble up inside of us.

Christ spoke with a Samaritan woman who was visiting a well to draw water. "Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again" refers to the actual water from the well; "those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty" refers to the spiritual life that Christ will freely give to anyone that asks for it. Once someone accepts Christ, they will no longer feel thirsty (feel tremendous yearning and desire) for anything in life (assuming they continue to accept Christ). This spiritual life will grow and continue forever.

it means if one person succumbs to the thirst of material things like money, success, etc. this person will do anything to be up there. a never-ending crave, so forever thirsty for that water and eventually you will die maybe still on top of the ladder but alone and miserable because you already forgot what it means to be human (no man is an island). while if you are successful or rich or just plain average middle-class person but if you learn to share your blessings, no matter how little it is but if given whole heartedly, your life will be bountiful and you're contented. you are just happy and peaceful until you die because of your feeling of being complete and well-being to just simply help other human beings and maybe just simply believing that what you do is enough for His Eyes.

It's spiritual. It's an analogy of His spirit. He is the fountain of living water that is always clean and clear of error and impurities and when we come to Him and interact in a relationship with Him it's like drinking water that is necessary for our spiritual health just like drinking physical water is necessary for our physical health. Now do you see?

He is speaking of life..... the water of life is a spirit within the new body... it is springing and gushing with eternal life.... Like the Holy Spirit. Except this time, men will know what it is.... They will not need to search for it.... They will not need to learn it..... they will be ooozing and gushing with the spirit of life eternal.......... It will be given men.... of Christ..... it is life...
