Like Aziz said, its just those few political parties that cause problems.
99.9% of people don't want any kind of violence. But its these politicians that rile up the Hindus against Muslims(there are no Muslim parties in India), and then some "Imam" rouses the Muslims against Hindus, and then big riots.
After the riots almost everyone felt bad about what they had done. I've heard it from many people myself. I'm from Gujarat, the state where there were riots in 2001.

It is really regretful and sorrowful.
No religions teach enmity and encourage killing among mankind. But it is really hard to call people in those circumstances to rethink and to get out of the problem. It has become something serious beyond the control of leaders as well as of followers. We can only hope some wise and brave individuals will get out first, and when they gain some prestige they may come back to work on reconciliations.

What is the news? We are aware that people need to learn to get along with each other in order to live in peace. That is nothing new? The news would be if they started to learn how to stop the violence and learn the ways of peace. That is why we pray for World Peace, you can join us if you wish. Happy Thankdgiving

I haven't read about it. I try not to watch the news. It just gets me depressed. But that is sad. There is so much war in this world right now and so much religious tension. I guess when times get bad as they are now, people tend to lean more on their religion and it becomes more important to them. Perhaps that's why there are so many religious wars breaking out. People just didn't care as much about their religious differences before. I don't know. It's just a thought.

The fighting has apparently been going on for many many years. And in a country with such a high population, there will be conflict between groups. It is sad but not surprising to me. I have no problem with any group really.

I highly suggest watching the movie Gandhi. It is excellent in showing the problems between these two groups. Get the DVD, as the extras about Gandhi are excellent, as well as the behind the scenes work.

people shouldn't fight about religion,, some one said"the gurus get along, but it is the students that fight"a guru i use to go see , use to tell wonderfully funny stories about -Naserdien, a Muslim Pilgrim that , had some what of a interesting life-full of mishaps.he wasnt making fun of the person, but he found truth , in all peoples.
like Mr Rodney King said "cant we all get along"?
our tripping stone is --Mr+Mrs-EGO, I'm right and you are wrong.-- i hope my beliefs will always Change , and i will never stop growing in understanding of the world.

its unfortunate. It is very similar to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
You have two groups that are intertwined with each other that cannot get along and are fighting over land.
Its sad but the only way I see peace is to create to have one side basically pay the other side to move out of the area in conflict.
If people cannot get along then they should not be forced to be next to each other.

What problem ? where ? When ?
I dont think there is any riot going on.... Hindus and muslims have been living in India for centuries, and except some incidents normally it is not bad
If Pakistan stop poking muslims of India, there will be no tension...
I have my muslim friends taking part in hindu festivals and working more than hindus, with zeal and joy

actually, i know very little about it. what's going on there? By the way, i would not show my solidarity to both sides. I would be with the Muslims. But I'm not about to start hating or fighting the Hindus. I would prefer the two to make peace. But when it comes down to it, i would rather be with the Muslims.
