I just wondered how many people feel the same way about christmas cards as I do. I love to send cards to people I haven't seen for a long time - maybe because they live far away? - and put in a note telling them how our family are doing, and maybe some photos - and I love to get the same thing back. Isn't that what they are for - to let loved ones know you are thinking of them.

But I just don't see the point in sending a card to my next door neighbour that I see every day - or to the man that sits at the next desk to me 5 days a week. And how many cards are posted through your door at 11 o'clock at night, or sent in an internal envelope at work?

To me this is just a waste of time - but I do love everything else about Christmas - it's just this awful "tradition" that gets to me every year.

So you are telling me .. people being burned at the stake for practicing witchcraft wasn't the work of the religious leaders?

Burning at the stake was done by men who wanted control of women's lives and the lives of their children and thats not religion.

Catholicism is politics with the blend of Greek mythology and a skeleton of the Islam of the Children of Islam as a cover-up for the control of the lives of women and their children and thats not religion in the sense that some people wish to present religion.

Devilmen find themselves resisting Scripture whether it is corrupt or not and they blame religion for the evil deeds of evil men.

Religion that you see as religion is mainly people wishing to purify their lives but when their lives are controlled by men who pretend religion then they become the victims of the greed of men like others saying women should be stoned to death for adultery and making a prophet responsible for this evil.

I HATE CHRISTMAS! Understand, I do not hate the idea of christmas, its a beautful holiday, just the holiday is from Dec 25 for January something. People celebrate it from Novemeber to July..Its annoying. Why don't ppl recognice hanukah. Yes only like 10% of ppl celebrate it, but still... I mean c'mon.. Do you think we celebrate christmas too early and continue too late and do u think we do not give enough recognition to other holidays?

Ok, here's what happened. I live in the southern states where we're born and raised very patriotic and thats just how it is. I mean, I may not agree with everything my government leaders do and think that they are total a** holes sometimes but I LOVE my country (USA). Anyway, I was at my boyfriends house (he lives w/ his mom) and he has several generations living in his house. His mom was born and raised here, but his step-dad is a big city slicker from New York but had rather be living in some European country and thinks its completely better over there. Well, at the dinner table he was talking politics and was really putting the US down and I just couldn't help quoting Merle to him.....

lol, was that wrong of me? I made his grandpa crack up because he's a country boy through and through and I think he was getting annoyed at his son in law also. I even made my bf's mom laugh, and the only person who didn't was his step-dad. But I couldn't help it. Would you have quoted Merle to? I just wanted to get my point across in a funny way....
