For as long as Christmas has been celebrated in December by Roman Catholics, along with those who follow their beliefs, Greek, Russian, and other Eastern Orthodox churches hold it in January. This is what caused the split in the church. Could they have been right and the rest of Christendom should have followed their example rather than Rome? Are they harming their children by not following the lead of the Roman Catholic Church, like all other religions, in giving gifts in December?

Recently its been in the news about a christian who went to iraq and was captured by terrorists. They killed the others he was with but he was rescued. Now they have arrested the terrorists but the christan man refuses to stand against them in court because he says he 'forgives them'. What you do you think about this?

I personally respect his right to his beliefs but by allowing these men to go free they could kill others, also its not his place to forgive what they did to other people.

Any thoughts?

She takes a stroll outside regularly.

She went out and didnt come back ..its been over a week and am very concerned.

Shes not a full grown cat yet...was like a close friend to me.

Please excuse me if this sounds dumb but I really wish someone would help me find her.

Shes a tricolor, gray-yellow-white persian-tabby mix.

1 John 5:7--"For there are three that testify." A few very late manuscripts add in heaven—the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one."
Bible manuscripts that were written prior to the Eleventh Century C.E (A.D.) read quite differently. So, it appears as though this verse was changed about 1,000 years after John penned it by someone who wanted to provide scriptural backing to the Trinity doctrine.
When reading John the Fifth Chapter, the three witness-bearers are the water (baptism), the Breath (Gr. pneuma – the Breath of God), and the (shed) blood (of Jesus). Changing the water, the Breath, and the blood to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost would make the rest of what John wrote illogical; so that rendering is totaly false.

In the bible, Jesus goes to the garden of to pray the night he was arrested. The bible tells what he prayed about however the bible also says that all the disciples were sleeping. how did we come to know what was said when he was praying if there was no one awake to hear his prayer?

ok ok this is a serious question so please respect it, no matter what you believe(it doesn't really apply to this question). don't you think we should be spending our time trying to make this life better, instead of fighting, because in the end this may be the only one? to me it makes it seem like this life is more special and we are more beautiful..*if* it's the only one. call it whatever you will, but i don't think we're doing a good job with our responsibilities.

Why is it that no-one wants the Bible in public schools? If you've ever actually sat down and read it, you will find that it supports nothing besides good morals and teachings. If our goverment used it's wisdom on dept we'd be in a lot better shape. Back to the subject, it teaches not to: Kill or steal. It teaches children to obey their parents and husbands to love their wives, it teaches against adultry and so many other problems we have today-if people actually listened to it maybe out divorce rate would go down-maybe our murder rate would go down, you know, people might actually stop do a lot of bad things. So what is the problem with having this in the public schools? It teaches nothing but good morals, if you look at our public schools since they're taken out the Bible they're gone "down hill" so much it's sad. Teenage pregnancy rates are at an all time high, what if we actually taught kids not to have sex BEFORE they were married?!? :-O So what is the problem with the morals?
