I do completely see your point. You could just as easily tap most people you send cards to on the shoulder and say merry Christmas. But, the way I see it is that we spend most of the year being as miserable as anything with most people. Even if it's just the stress of life and nothing intentional. So it's nice that just once a year you do send a card to everyone you know. It's one of life's nice little meaningless gestures amongst a load of shi*ty things we have to do.

I actually think of you're able to save the two separate. it would seem distinctly undesirable to integrate them -- such as you do no longer in all threat prefer to project an suited "thank you" so which you're in simple terms tossing it in with Christmas playing cards. So if which ability Christmas playing cards THEN thank you playing cards, do it. yet actually make the thank you's a precedence after them -- whether which ability sending 'em Christmas & New Years weeks. you're nonetheless in the three-month window that etiquette says you're able to deliver your thank you's so which you're ok until January. My wedding ceremony grew to become into 10/31 and my fiance & I the two are in college at night and the two paintings complete time (in the previous & after the marriage) and we controlled to get our thank you's out in the previous our Christmas playing cards-- there have been purely some days in-between the final batch of thank you's and the 1st batch of Christmas playing cards, yet we pulled it off.

In total agreement with you, Xmas cards should be sent to friends you don't see very much, that's the true meaning of Xmas cards, and not to next door neighbours or work mates, at work I give money to a charitable cause rather than send Xmas cards.

Yes there is no point, but it's the thought that counts. They'll know you spent a whole dime sending them a card that wishes them a Merry Christmas.

Sending cards to people like your neighbors, let's them know that you go the extra step towards good will. I send cards to everyone and in return, I receive them back. They are all sincerely touched that I would do it specifically for them. But, like you, I love everything about Christmas, and wait all year for it to come.

MMM i think everyone has their own way of doing things.
I buy special cards for friends and family then normal ones for those i work with or see every day.
As i say though - each to their own!

seems reasonable to me although I always sent a Christmas Card to the Lady I was dating, just to make certain She had something besides the usual " junk mail " and bills.
