YES. That is terrible isn't it? Well I spend my whole week at work and when I go out, I don't want to be bothered. So, I tell my hubby if he sees someone he knows just grab me and we will go the other way and I will do the same. My time is my time. I just get tired of the "hellos" and "how are you"...blah...blah...blah. Just leave me alone!

It just depends on my mood. If I'm not in a good mood or something, then I do try to avoid them. Bad, I know.

But if I'm in a good mood (which I usually am!) then I'll say hello and how are you and all that jazz.

Normally a "nod of the head" or a "Wave of the hand" if they are further away ( like across the room).
If they are closer i will say hello, how are they doing. etc Polite quick conversation.

I'm not one to run and hide and most people that know me know i will say hi. even if I'm on the run.
Its just polite.

It all depends on the mood I'm in. Usually I try to pretend that they are not around, and I try to make myself look distracted or busy.

If they don't see me, I will avoid them. If I think I can't avoid them or they will definitely see me, I will say hi to them.
