It was called Dayton State. It is now a retirement home. Even though it has been renovated. It still looks creepy.

Once when I was in deep distress God answered my prayers. I wept with such gratefulness and wanted to give something back. I asked, "what can I give to show my thankfulness God. I have nothing to give that you do not already have. Then like warm honey being poured over me I was covered in His spirit and He said, " your tears are my gift."

What other gifts can we give to GOD????

In our local paper this week was a big article about how gays are being kicked out of churches all over America.

The reason...they do not follow the word of god.

In the teachings of Jesus, anyone who obtains a divorce and marries another is in adulterer.

Adultery is one of the BIG TEN written in stone by gods own finger (gay didn't make the top 10)

So I got to ask all you bible thumpers...

Are you going to start kicking out people who have married divorced people cause they do not follow the word of god?

Or will this be yet another case of Christian Hypocrisy?

3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

it seems to me that india is a more feminine nation than america and I was hoping to get some feedback on this
here's my logic:
music defines a nation, so if your music is high pitched ultra-feminine male vocals, sitars, and tublas then you're bound to be more feminine than thelan compared to bollywood musicals
does this make any sense or am I just an idiot of sorts

is it arrogant to think that we can exist in a Universe without God where we live in an obscure dirtball orbiting around a pretty much average star in this humongous Universe?

Or is it more arrogant to think that this whole humongous Universe was created for your existence, because you have been specially loved for by your Creator and that there is a higher purpose to your life?

If a person had to kill a person in self defense would you consider this murder and a sin, or saving a life.

People don't go around saying "Buddah" or "Mohamid" when they get mad, or do they? I may be wrong, but my perception is, it gives them a false sense of "power" for the moment they speak it out during anger. Your thoughts?

Well, religious folks comment that we should not speak about their beliefs since we are ignorant of them.

If so, shouldn't they stay out scientific topics like evolution or the Big Bang since they are equally ignorant of them due to the misconceptions they developed from their religion?

not real and how were your views of your parents (for lying to you), of Christmas (for being based on a lie for children) and of life in general changed?

I'm speaking as someone who's never had to experience the ordeal and I'm curious as to whether it was traumatic for anyone or if it didn't change anything?

There's a guy in my health class who actually asked "what's the difference between a homosexual and a transgendered person?" Now being not only lesbian but extrememly liberal, it did kinda piss me off but at least he's not /ignorant/. He's actually making an effort. And if I tried to talk to him, it would NIT come out in a very... /Civil/ way. So, if he's curious, then I'll just have someone else explain it to him, and my Mom suggested a website. So... Anyone know any good ones?

It seems that the love thing and the discipline functions are what would be expected from a father in the critical years of youth. The high numbers of fathers who need to work excessive hours and the large proportion of single parent homes seem to be depriving children of their fathers. Could this explain the religious fervour of many of the Christians. Do God and Jesus represent the fathers they wish that they had, and never did.

I'm black and i usually date black guys, but lately I've really been considering white guys. But the problem is I'm black. People in my family have married white guys, and they really have to be strong. They get stared at all the time. I'm not prejudice, I just have a prefrence. I know that times have changed but I just don't know if I should expand my horizons and just try to date them. Maybe two years ago I dated a white guy who completly me lied to me and cheated on me, and now I really don't trust them. What should I do...I'm not trying to offend anyone and I'm really sorry if I did.

Before you answer that consider this: birtday celebrations are actually superstitious beliefs. According to reputable reference materials, such as the World Book, birthdays were celebrated to ward off evil spirits. So people in ancient time lighted candles.

So, are you superstitious?
