I'm black and i usually date black guys, but lately I've really been considering white guys. But the problem is I'm black. People in my family have married white guys, and they really have to be strong. They get stared at all the time. I'm not prejudice, I just have a prefrence. I know that times have changed but I just don't know if I should expand my horizons and just try to date them. Maybe two years ago I dated a white guy who completly me lied to me and cheated on me, and now I really don't trust them. What should I do...I'm not trying to offend anyone and I'm really sorry if I did.

Well I'm white, and my second wife was black. (She still is. Black, that is.) I don't know where the "strong" thing comes in, but when we were married we were both in the military. (In the service there is no black and white. We are/were all "green" This was back in the early 80's, by the way.)
The reason we split up was, due to a little accident I had many moons ago, before I was married, I was no longer able to father a child. (No, my Jones worked fine. It was the two dudes in the support crew, and their plumbing, that had trouble.) I did not want to adopt, and she wanted a kid.
We parted on good terms, and we still send each other birthday (Her's, May 30th,) and Christmas cards. I have a picture of her and her 16 year old son on my desk at work. Her husband has no problem with that. He's a good dude. We met on a little riding vacation I took a few years ago.
If you are wondering why she was my second wife, it's because my first wife (Who was white.) lied her butt off and cheated every chance she got. Color has nothing to do with someone being a walking, talking, bunghole. Anyone, black, white, yellow, or green with purple stripes, can be a loser in the relationship department.
I dont think you will offend anyone with your question, except for possibly the one or two people still in the KKK that can use a computer. I live in Florida, and have dated ladies other than white. Where I blow it now, (Since most of the "girls" are my age and no longer able to have children.) is they can't deal with the bike scene. This is ALL of the ladies, not just the non-white ones.
Good luck with your "expansion" of the horizons. The happiest years I had were with my second old lady, a fine woman. I'm sure that had I been able to father her a child, we would still be together. (And it would be 24 years this February!) And now you will have to excuse me, I have a Christmas card to send out. Ciao!

I am biracial and I have dated men of different races. Well unless I dated another biracial Im always in inter racial relationships :O) In my opinion, Men are Men, there are good ones and bad ones in every race, the guy didnt cheat and lie because he was white ask any woman who had dated any race, he did that because he lacked character period. I think if you like someone and they like you you should date them if you want and just try to take your time and get to know them so that you can figure out what type of Character he has before you invest your whole self into the relationship. At the end of the day it is who we love and who loves us that is important, not what color we are. Good luck and I hope you meet someone nice.

Love conquers all. If you love a person, then screw what other people say! Life is too short to dwell on what others say and not concentrate on your own happiness. I know that it must have been painful that your ex cheated on you and I hope he did not give you the excuse of your skin color as being the reason he cheated on you. Just like in every race, there are liars and cheaters like your ex but there are also good in all races as well. My advice is to look at the heart of the person not the color of that person.

I'm sorry I just don't understand why people care so much about what other people think of them. Girl if you want to date a white guy go ahead, and when people stare ignore them or smile at them or smack your boyfriend on the butt, who cares. And I have dated all races of guys and they are ALL dogs it doesn't matter about race, just date whoever you are attracted to and compatible with. As long as you're happy who cares about other people.

I kinda get where your going at. If you like a white guy, then you should date him. Nobody should be judged differently because of color, and it has politically been established like that but there is still some rascism in stupid people. Also, as you said "they get stared at all the time" that's because some people cant just accept the fact we are all the same!

Don't be sorry, you're not offending anyone, you're just asking a question. If you're interested in dating a white guy, go ahead. Finding out who and what you like is important when choosing someone, so don't be afraid just because of the color of their skin. Also remember that white men are as different from one another as black men, Indian men, Asian men, etc...they are all just people, as different from one another as anybody else.

nicely those women people might want to be liars im assuming and they purely reported they dont date black adult adult males because they're gangsters, yet they extremely purely dont date black adult adult males reason theyre racist or something. Now in the journey that they went and dated a redneck then they could be good they purely dont like those who act gangster. And to respond to your question it also relies upon on chemistry and connection you kno and private flavor in diverse people, someone may meet someone who can cause them to forget their well-known criteria.
