Well, being an English person I cant really answer your question, But I think Americans are really cool (Except George Bush) and I love your accents too!!
As for the remark about bad teeth, well, we have a National Health Service over here and most dental treatment is either free or heavily subsidised so I'm not quite sure where the above fellow has got his opinions from :-(
