People don't go around saying "Buddah" or "Mohamid" when they get mad, or do they? I may be wrong, but my perception is, it gives them a false sense of "power" for the moment they speak it out during anger. Your thoughts?

That's exactly it. It gives them a false sense of power. Calling upon the Creator of the universe's Son to damn what you damn is really what they're doing. That's why it's called taking His name in vein. Because you're using His name to damn something that's (most likely) not damned. Make sense?

I think it started at the cross and we just haven't been able to stop since. But i do think it's an American thing to say Jeeeesus Efn CHRist.

Or of course, it could just be a prayer. Good idea to pray during our anger I think. But the middle name thing - that should go.

"Jesus Christ" in the context of extreme frustration is the same as saying "oh, for the love of God" or "for conscience sake".
One might cry out this way for God's mercy, whether in anger or grief, disgust or disbelief. Because Jesus Christ represents the divine link between the collective human conscience and true justice from God.

Buddha is like asking for an angel of wisdom.
Generally, people who are angry are not thinking calmly of wisdom or angels. Buddhist meditation is traditionally done silently to still the emotions, so that answers or insights can be received in a clear state of mind.

As for angry militants who wrongly justify murder in the name of Allah, as in the videotaped beheading of a hostage to the shouts of "Allah Ackbar," such violent acts of political terrorism are a blasphemy to the true Islamic beliefs in charity and mercy.

In extreme situations, who knows what people might say. I met one woman whose caravan of volunteers got stopped by corrupt police in Rwanda, and found herself pacing around the car praying to Buddha, Mohammed, Jesus, God and every holy image or icon in history she could think of, begging for the miracle it would took to get past the roadblock alive. Again, this was like praying to all the saints and angels in heaven and earth, as the love of conscience joins us all.

Jesus is the one that gave his life and shed his own Blood
Satan hates that, I think he puts that and God in man, to use against God and sometimes, for God, you see who is the first one who you call on in times of great distress, giving birth, car wrecks, Most say oh God, whether they are christian or not, it's in their subconscious, I think it is just there because God made us in his likeness, yet we sometimes abuse it without thinking////
