I am curious about this. My parents were not religous and recently my children have been asking more questions about god. I am finding myself at a point in my life where I feel the need to find out more about having faith.

I believe there are angels and they are with us every day and will protect us always even when they take us to the others side..

I'll go first. For me it is that I became an atheist out of an emotional reason. I.e. "God didn't heal my cat"

What do you think (about misconceptions. Not what do you think about my cat)

Surely something of that magnitude would have to catch the attention of historians, as Jerusalem even at that time was not a small town by any means, but it didn't. The uproar that it should caused was non-existant according to history outside of the Bible.

History has also already determined that Quirenius was not governor during the time that Luke mentions him. Nor was a census conducted of the Jews at that time.

Neither has the "star" over Bethlehem been documented other than shepherds and wise men seeing it. Almost as if no one but them was supposed to see it. The same with the angel throng that appeared to the shepherds and scared them senseless.

Those are all pretty big things to simply slip into the cracks as if they never happened.

If no, does that not throw the concept of original sin out the window ?

Why would a deity come down to earth in human form to die in order to cleanse a sin that never actually happened ?

Does the fact (and let's face it, it's a fact, we know the earth is not only 6000 years old and we know that modern humans evolved.... exept those religious extremists who continue to take the bible literally of course) that this original sin never actually happened, undermine the whole christian religion as the concept of oroginal sin is a complete fabrication ?

We are tired of worrying about whether we are offending some individuals or their culture.

We are not against immigration, nor do we hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Britain.
Our Country is welcoming immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers.

However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.

This idea of Britain being a multi-cultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity.

As British citizens, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle.

This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who sought freedom.

We speak English, not Arabic, Chinese, Japanese or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, you should learn the Language!!

We are, in the main, Christians, not Buddhists, Muslim or Islamic, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this NATION and this is clearly documented.

It is certainly appropriate to fly our beloved Union Flag proudly. If this offends you, then I suggest you consider a move to another part of the world as your new home, because this is a part of our CULTURE.
If our traditional marches offend you, then you should seriously consider staying in doors. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change.

This is OUR COUNTRY, our land and our lifestyle. Our Government gives every citizen the right to express his or her opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life.
We highly encourage you take advantage of our great British freedom.

THE RIGHT TO LEAVE

Would Britain still be the Country of choice and still be British if we continue:-
To make the changes forced on us by the people from other countries that came to live in Britain because it was the Country of Choice?

Think about it…….. All I have to say is, when will something be done about:- OUR RIGHTS ????????
We celebrate Christmas, but because it is not celebrated by everyone, we can no longer say Merry Christmas, now it has to be Season’s Greeting.
It’s not Christmas vacation, it’s Winter Break. Isn’t it amazing how this winter break ALWAYS occurs over the Christmas holidays?

We’ve gone so far the other way, bent over backwards not to offend anyone.
We are now being offended. But it seems that no-one has a problem with that. !!

I know it might seem stupid to you, but it's not to me. I was bought up Baptist Christian to believe certain things. But here is what I believe:
I believe Jesus came and walked this Earth and died on the cross.
I believe in God as Jesus's father and I also wear the pentagram and people have been telling me different things of the five points 1 being: -Faith, Charity, Tolorance, Love, and Longevity. and then 2 being: Earth, wind, air, psyche, and fire or something like that? I'm just confused. Right now, I am living by the 1st one and I just want to be sure I know what I am. Help me. LOL. Thanks.
