I would think that "seperate but equal" and "whites only" water fountains only 50 some odd years ago combined with the tremendous expense that skiing takes would be a large factor in the stereotype.

Note how you don't see a lot of mullets wearing wife beaters and NASCAR caps dowing Miller High Life on the slopes either.

Also, there is a stereotype about Black people not liking cold at all. As Chris Rock said, "And as soon as they make a heated rink, we're taking over hockey too!"

Because I never go to the slopes. That's also why I don't see any Asians skiing or Mexicans or just plain old white people.

I have a lot of friends who are African Americans and loves skiing and enjoys it as a sport or hobby. Where have you been? And I am not black either.

Honestly whats with all the racial profiling thats going on today. I am so sick of hearing about this black white thing. Sweetie do yourself a favor and pay attention to the date. Its 06 and black people do all the same things that white people do, and that goes for the spanish and asian people. Next time ask a question that actually merits you losing 5 points.

they aren't at the beach either
Manny, Galveston is not a beach it is a toilet I have seen the brown water.
When I say beach I mean like Hawaii but than the money problem rises again doesn't it.
(not a cheap vacation)

misconception

There are black skiers and snowboarders

there are also annual black ski outings

so, you may not notice them(all bundled up maybe?), but we are out there
