...the passage of a state constitutional amendment against same-sex marriage?

I'm in a two-woman relationship. My legal marriage was taken away by two state's courts. I mourned. Thousands of couples would celebrate if the amendments didn't pass; that, I get.

But why would people for it celebrate? Or, as a woman on one of my debate lists did, say "Yippee" about it?

What, exactly, are they celebrating, and why?

I am powerfully curious. I'm not sure I'll like the answers, but I'm pressing the buttons anyhow.

I bartend at a restaurant and there is a girl there who is rude to everyone including me. She always has some snotty comment and she thinks she is better than everyone. I really hate confrontation but I hate working with her and her rudeness. My blood starts to boil just seeing her there when I walk in the door. What should I do about the work b*tch?

Americans appeal to underdog stories all the time. why is that? Movies like Seabiscuit, Cinderella, Titanic, and many more where the underdog comes out on top, or something like that.

According to the Bible, one of the Ten Commandments is "thou shalt not kill" or don't kill. If done accordingly, then you're a sinner. Is vanquishing, or killing, evil and nonbelievers not killing or against God? If not, explain why?

Twice now I've posted answers and my answer doesn't appear. 30 answers show on the first page, and mine's next, but the second page is blank!

If you don't believe me, check the question about "Little Mermaid" - I counted the answers, and mine was next after the 30th one, and it's not there!
(Will I still get the points?)

I do. Look, it's the FIRST amendment for a reason. Your un-American if you report someone, it's our civic right to be able to be offended.

I have been wearing panties on and off since high school. I have tried sexy mens underwear but it just isn't as exilerating as women panties. My wife does not understand it and barely puts up with it. I am in my 40's now and am at the point where I almost don't care why, I just do it cause it feels good. I would appreciate any thoughts from other men, why you like to wear women's panties.

Matthew 16:18-19 says that Jesus himself told Peter that
"you are Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever you shall bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven."

Since Peter went to Rome and became the head of the Catholic church based on Jesus' words, and all other Christian denominations were started by some regular guy or another (not even an apostle), doesn't it mean non-Catholics are defying what Christ himself ordered?
How can you believe the Bible is God's word, then ignore specific parts of it?

This old lady almost killed me at a cross walk today. It was like I wasn't even there at all. The old bat tried to drive right through me. She was all hunched over and could barely see over the steering wheel. After diving out of the way, scuffing my knees and elbows on the pavement, I watched her as she drove away all weeving in the road, hungry for her next victim. If they're not slowing up traffic and getting in everyone's way their homicidal maniacs bent on running over pedestrians and kittens. I really think we should take people's licenses away once they turn sixty. I'll be glad to give mine up. I hate driving. What say you?
