Americans appeal to underdog stories all the time. why is that? Movies like Seabiscuit, Cinderella, Titanic, and many more where the underdog comes out on top, or something like that.

Because it represents people who have endured, survived and conquered. Its the triumph of good over evil in a way. Its people who have courage, determination and faith as well as strength who go up against the odds and just make it out thriving. I think it hits a spot inside each of us and it just inspires us to want to be like that.

It is the AMERICAN DREAM to suceeds against the odds in the face of or escaping tyranny and oppresion. It gives us all hope.

cowards never succed, too busy being safe and finding the easy safe haven!
to put it in simple terms many fear and would never dream of succeding in the same circumstances brought to us in anothers story trial or defeat with such determination!
