No, they are different.

Satanism is worshiping Satan, and doing his well. Atheism is like the rebel person who doesn't want to have rules, and regulation that will direct their life, they want to be a free agent, to answer to no one and limited in their believes only to their beginning and their end, and there is nothing more to it. As if, if they believe their is nothing to lose, there is nothing to worry about. Their beginning, starts with their birth, and their end! ends with their passing, and after that! nothing more.

If a person thinks of here and now, there is not much to lose or worry about the after life, if a person doesn't believe in the after life.

Respectfully, I could be wrong, they have been wrong about us many times, I too could be wrong about them as well.

Boy, there are some ignorant folks in here. Firstly, Satanists do not believe is Satan or the devil, much less worship him. Secondly, atheists believe there is no deity, but that is where the definition stops. Satanism prescribes behavior and beliefs. They are not the same.

LaVeyan satanism is atheistic, but not necessarily the reverse.

Some forms of satanism do, however, accept an all-powerful evil being, and these would not be atheistic nor would atheism be them.

Not me.They are not the same, atheism refuses to recognize any gods, good or bad, nothing divine. satanism could not exist in a atheism world, as satan contends to be like God. darkness has no place for Light.

Some atheists are. I would call Satanism a branch of atheism. Organized atheism with a guide book.

How many people think satanism has anything at all to do with Satan.

The belief in nothing does not equal the adoration of evil. From a logical perspective, atheism is reality. There is no definitive proof that any God Or devil exists. Satanism whether Lavey based, which is a mock-religion differs quite a bit from hardcore Devil worship. It could be said however, the belief in anything unseen and unproven is equal to mental illness. That is not my view but I can see the logic to it.

That's a foolish question. Atheism is not believing in the notion of a god. In order to be a satanist, you would first have to accept the presence of a god, who then creates/interacts with satan, and then you would have to choose to worship satan. Unlikely. The two are contradictory.

It's kind of silly, since satanism acknowledges deities while atheism simply rejects them. There are some very interesting & beautiful philosophies in satanism if people are openminded enough to actually find out what it is :)

I extremely have a satanist chum, and he also tells me what you're saying, in actuality I went to some web pages to envision and that i understand what you propose. that's an uncomplicated actuality yet extremely properly worth noting: God says if you aren't to any extent further for Him then you actually are hostile to Him. Oil and water do no longer blend. see you later as you aren't to any extent further serving God, then you actually would besides be serving the pastimes of Gods enemy, devil. Even status on the fence and being indecisive isn't strong sufficient for God. he's an all or no longer some thing God. imagine in case your relatives in hardship-free words 1/2 loved you, is that strong sufficient? No. when you're in my military and that i see you replacing aspects, will i elect to shop you in my military or use you as an social gathering to others through court marshaling you? for sure i won't be able to have you ever in my military in case you won't be able to be unswerving. in case you undergo in concepts no longer some thing else ever on your existence back please undergo in concepts this: devil (decrease caps on purpose) sugar-coats each and every thing. Even the bible says devil is nice-looking, all of us understand his song is beguiling and his way is tempting, yet he's the biggest liar ever widely used to guy and God. Be vigilant in any respect cases because he's a wolf in sheep's clothing, a snake contained in the grass. 2-confronted. God is powerful and needs in hardship-free words strong for you, devil is likewise authentic and needs to work out how a lot he can confuse you till now you die. by no skill supply him that chance.
