We are tired of worrying about whether we are offending some individuals or their culture.

We are not against immigration, nor do we hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Britain.
Our Country is welcoming immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers.

However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.

This idea of Britain being a multi-cultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity.

As British citizens, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle.

This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who sought freedom.

We speak English, not Arabic, Chinese, Japanese or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, you should learn the Language!!

We are, in the main, Christians, not Buddhists, Muslim or Islamic, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this NATION and this is clearly documented.

It is certainly appropriate to fly our beloved Union Flag proudly. If this offends you, then I suggest you consider a move to another part of the world as your new home, because this is a part of our CULTURE.
If our traditional marches offend you, then you should seriously consider staying in doors. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change.

This is OUR COUNTRY, our land and our lifestyle. Our Government gives every citizen the right to express his or her opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life.
We highly encourage you take advantage of our great British freedom.

THE RIGHT TO LEAVE

Would Britain still be the Country of choice and still be British if we continue:-
To make the changes forced on us by the people from other countries that came to live in Britain because it was the Country of Choice?

Think about it…….. All I have to say is, when will something be done about:- OUR RIGHTS ????????
We celebrate Christmas, but because it is not celebrated by everyone, we can no longer say Merry Christmas, now it has to be Season’s Greeting.
It’s not Christmas vacation, it’s Winter Break. Isn’t it amazing how this winter break ALWAYS occurs over the Christmas holidays?

We’ve gone so far the other way, bent over backwards not to offend anyone.
We are now being offended. But it seems that no-one has a problem with that. !!

Hello,
This letter, because that's how it started was sent to an Australian newspaper by an Aussie citizen who was fed up with the way the foreigners come to Oz for a better life than what they are used to, only to stab Oz in the back with they demands. It was publish by the paper and the following day the author of the letter was hailed as a hero for saying what everyone was thinking. Of course there were a few dogooders who claimed it was racist, but all it is, is telling a few facts.
The letter was sent around the world by e-mail, and could be targeted at any country that takes in all these so called refugees. If they are not happy to go by our laws, and to conduct themselves by our rules, then why don't they go back to where they came from and stop moaning.

WELL SAID!! I totally agree with everything you have said. It became apparent to me recently when I kept hearing about Britain being a multi-cultural society, that this came about quite insidiously. No one considered if anyone minded Britain changing in this way. I have been thinking lately - what will Britain celebrate at our opening ceremony of the Olympic games now that we have little left that is British to celebrate without causing offence to others or will be we forced to have a multicultural opening ceremony. The trouble as I see it is that no one is prepared to stand up & say what you have said. No one fights for British rights or culture - let alone Christianity. The Archbishop of Canterbury doesn't even do that now. It's all a terrible travesty. So - maybe we'll have Morris Dancing & something to do with sausages at the opening ceremony as there's precious little left it seems! Soon I'll be getting out my Christmas lights & tree but will have to be careful that I don't offend my neighbour who although he has lived here over 30 years, still doesn't consider England "home" & continues to talk about "home" as his country of origin. He continually slates the English & all things British. It's all gone too far now to change but I do wish people who could influence things would TRY!

No offence taken here, but who do you mean when you say 'no-one has a problem with that!' You can't mean the indigenous people because I don't know anyone who does not have a problem with our 'fashionable multi-culti society'.

What really exasperates us all is that our democratically elected political representatives NEVER ASKED US if we wanted to turn our tiny country into a multi-culti society.

For any Americans reading this - our little country is one third the size of your State of Texas with the entire population of New York State, Illinois State, California State and another 4 million tossed in!

OK we invited the Afro-Caribbeans here to work after WW2 because we had lost so many of our men in battle for freedom of Europe - and our politicians didn't help us to understand what that was all about so there was ignorance of colour and wariness of something new in our 'white nest'.

We could have done better, but hats off to the Afro-Caribbeans who have become as one with our British way of life, culture and religion. They have never tried to force their way of life on us - I love the law-abiding majority of our Black Brits - they are a credit to their race.

But it is only a matter of time before the politicians realise that their cosying up to new militant minority groups to gain their votes is only temporary. Just wait until these groups are big enough to put up their own candidates at elections and the incumbents are dismissed at the ballot box.

Having contributed to the State System for Pensions I resent getting a meagre increase each year now I'm a pensioner - [less than a packet of cigarettes a week], and yet this government can pay out child, housing and tax credits to new comers who have never contributed a penny until recently.

It is no wonder that BNP lot will gain so many seats in local and national elections and serves the other political parties right for taking us for granted for so many years. Even if they manage to put the leader of the BNP in prison, his field of candidates will still be elected.

Watch that space!

I can see your point. I have nothing to do with the subject as I don't live or wish to live in Britain. But I think Western societies face the danger of extinction because you guys no longer want to breed and replace your dying population. It is happening everywhere in Western Europe. That's one reason you need immigrants. I find it personally depressing that the whole world is becoming homogenious. Cultural differences are needed. Whenever I go to Britain nowadays, it is no longer the English Britain. It is a mesh-mash of different societies. So you need to push your own government to do something about it. But I think it is already too late, so you genuine English people have to find yourself another island somewhere, pay for it and call it New New England.

Historicaly, Europe, including Britain, has been a melting pot, with imigrants and migrants being assimilated into the cultures. What is happening now is no different, except that the instant 'news' available brings it to everybodys attention. Whatever cultural issues you may see in Britain now, I can just about guarantee that in a couple of hundred years there will be a different one.

DITTO! What can we do about it besides just continuing to live the way we want? I still say Merry Christmas, call it Christmas Vacation, fly my flag and say God in the Pledge of Allegience. But it doesn't change anybody else. What's the next step? I'm with you 100%!

Am so offended I think I actually pooed myself.

Agreed with most of it - apart from the Christmas bit. It's generally white Christian jobsworth bureaucrats who decide to ban Christ from postage stamps because they think they have to tip-toe around other faiths. Then those people they think they're trying to protect get offended anyway because banning Jesus from the company Christmas card is an insult to their intelligence and doesn't give them much credit.

As the daughter of an immigrant, I would say most immigrants agree with what you said here.

Apart from this bit: "This is OUR COUNTRY, our land and our lifestyle. Our Government gives every citizen the right to express his or her opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life.
We highly encourage you take advantage of our great British freedom."

Once a person has become a British citizen it is their country too and they have the freedom to whinge about whatever they want; whingeing, too, is a great British tradition.

I haven't reaad your whole Q yet but I have to add. I'm American and live in England, I fine that I need to learn to live a different life. I want to because I want to know what British Life is all about. So, I think if you come here you need to want to learn about the countries lifestyle! In America (Southwest) we have problems with the Mexicans and when I lived there I once had a job when my stuff and I couldn't understand each other. I think if you live here you need to speak English and understand the meaning of the word English, same as in America!

They wants us to learn their languages to visit there countries, why if they come here and don't know a word of English should we?

WELL SAID MY FRIEND, O how I wish you could be a member of Parliment. What this country needs is people like you in the house of commons, there are to many weak minded individuals running this country as it is, and I for 1 completley agree with your veiws. The immigrants and refugees, as you state, will NOT work, will not tax their cars(paid for by the state) or give anything worthwhile into the English community. I would imagine there are hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of ENGLISH PEOPLE who only wish for 1 thing,

the GREAT to be put back in to BRITAIN.

BRAVO for your statement.
