I want to improve my community/city by doing something really original. Please don't suggest that I "clean up the trash" or "paint a house" or "help an old woman cross the street". I'm looking for a very unique, original way of getting people's attention. I want to focus on a particular aspect of my community and get others involved. Someone dropped a large banner from a downtown building here last year that read "hug a stranger". I need something like that. Any ideas? Thanks!

because of my stance on the last few questions I asked I have a Georgia person telling me to accept that I am not a christian and I will be more respected. What exactly did I say to make me no longer a Christian? And I guess I need to know what it makes me ....

Of course that is my opinion and it's subjective, but nontheless it is something that I have grown to understand as I've grown.

Women not only have natural gift of carrying a child in their womb, but naturally are nurturing to the child after giving birth. This is something that men seem to possess little of. It is my opinion that women are more emotional, in a good and bad way, but they think things through rather than using brute force. Women are truly and amazing creature. Your thoughts?

They didn't teach this crap when I was in school and my son starts high school next year.

Is there alternatives to taking this subject like biology, chemistry or physics.

If they tell me he has to take it my family runs one of the largest corporate law firms in the country I'm sure they'll change their minds.

I want my son to be highly educated and I'll do what I can to make sure that happens.

Would taking an issue like this all the way to the supreme court be a good thing for the future of education?

I would rather have him learn about religion than monkeys, at the very least religion teaches about history.

it seems that it has become a fashion and a custom of yahoo to allow these nasty and racist questions.
yahoo facilitates and encourages people to put nazi style questions about muslims.
why won't yahoo allow any criticism of hindus, and jews.
why has yahoo institutionalised the bashing of islam.
surly the controllers of this site must by jews and hindus.

Now before you all go off on me, I am 1/4 black.

But to me, It seems that racism is perpetuated by the african american community. Everytime my boyfriend does something REMOTELY wrong at work to someone african american, they pull the "racism" card on him and file a complaint that he treated them differently because he was white and they are black. He did not do ANYTHING wrong to deserve this.

Also, at my college, there's a huge scholarship that I qualify for... the only reason I cannot receive it, is because i'm not 100% black. I'm sorry, but you KNOW if there was an all white scholarship, there would be INTENSE racism, and my college would probably get sued. So why is it okay this way around?

Furthermore, don't pull the slave card. Sure, my ancestors were probably slaves. But you know what? They're not alive and neither are the white slaveowners. Why are we holding grudges when NONE of us were there?

Love yourself, black or white. What do you thiink?
