i work as a school librarian and this muslim girl has a nice voice and loves to sing hits by country singer Faith Hill. During a collage function she played the Guitar and sang a nice song from Faith's new CD fireflies, and do you know what happened the next day? her parents and a load of muslim men stormed the school demanding that we stop her from singing in public, stating that muslim girls are not whores who sing.
what type of insanity is this i wonder?

I am not a Muslim so I don't know.

But if Mohammed says "the Koran is the word of God" and the Koran says "Mohammed is the prophet of God" and two of the central things to believe are the Koran and the Hadith...then they both rely on the other being true but neither can substantiate the other.

Also, since the Koran was written outside space and time (Muslims believe) there is no external evidence that can back it up. It is mainly admonitions and exhortations, with very, very little history compared to the Bible for example.

This makes Islam a leap of faith?

Ironically, the Muslim creed "There is no god but Allah andMohammed is his messenger" is a statement of fact...while there is no EVIDENCE for Islam. In Christianity the many varieties of creed all begin "I belive in god the Father..." "I believe in the Resurrection and the Life..." And yet the Bible is packed with verifiable stories. - verifiable by archaeology, eyewitness statements, other independent sources.

Thanks

Ok, no one can see you, but they can 'feel you' they can hear you, for example you could blow that stack of very important papers off the bosses desk and out the window. Blow in some strange guys ear, skies the limit, go for it and have fun!!

It is, as far as I'm aware, unknown in the UK. We only know it from a hit record by Dawn in 1971 but it must go back further than that. Any info on this custom please.

If there isn't a God and there is no religion then why do you get all upset on this site with Christians that don't exist. Or Muslims or Jews or what ever 'you say there is no religion. I don't believe that herbal medacine works but I don't argue with herbelest people.

Leaders of countries are just pawns in thier Global Game of
chess. They are trying to destroy the money system by
raising prices higher and higher. And we play right along
with our material greed.
The are playing on peoples "values". Kicking people from their
homes for suffering from addictions. They want us to REBEL,
so they can call in the troops. And stupid people will throw
rocks at guys with machine guns, and we will get STOMPED.
Are these Free Credit reports a STING operation to find out
where we are, so they can hold that over our heads too, so
we will do what we're told?
WAKE UP PEOPLE!

When I moved from the UK to Canada (not a huge change I know) I adopted Canadian mores and values - not at the expense of my own but as a form of good manners. I learned to speak french (enough to get by) learned the anthem and did my best to fit in. I did this because I CHOSE to go to Canada and to me if a person chooses to emigrate they ought to respect the country they moved to and try to fit in. A year after I got to Canada there was riots in a suburb of Toronto as people form India protested in the streets demanding that the Canadian flag in the city hall was changed to their national flag because "there were more of them living in Brampton than there were white Canadians" yesterday I met a girl in Nottingham who could barely speak english despite the fact that she is THIRD GENERATION British. I would never ask anyone to give up their national identity but is this going too far?

I need to translate an email to a property agent (English to Italian) and get the response translated. There may be several iterations. I'm happy to pay for this service but not sure what is the going rate or where to find someone. I'd prefer an individual rather than a company. Any ideas?

Both men were great teachers. They both encouraged compassion and modesty. We all can agree that both Jesus and Buddha were a good men. To Christians, does this mean that Buddha will go to hell since he did not recieve Christ? He lived before Christ was born so how can he receive Christ? How can a decent man go to hell when he has done good works to mankind simply by not accepting Christ?
