Jesus is the Sun of God?
Christ. The sun is bThe history of the sun, is the history of Jesus orn on the 25th of December, the birthday of Jesus Christ
. The first and greatest of the labors of Jesus Christ is his victory over the serpent, the evil principle, or the devil. In his first labor Hercules strangled the serpent, as did Krishna, Bacchus, etc. his is the sun triumphing over the powers of hell & darkness; &, as he increases, he prevails, till he is crucified in the heavens, or is decussated in the form of a cross (according to Justin Martyr) when he passes the equator at the vernal equinox. (ibid, p. 200)
In reading the New Testament we must cease to think of the man Jesus, & even of the “Son of God”, & think of him
rather of the sun of god, for this is a solar myth, & its dying hero, a dying sun. (Lloyd Graham, Deceptions and Myths
of the Bible, p. 361)
“The divine teacher is called, is tested by the “adversary”, gathers disciples, heals the sick, preaches the Good News
about God’s kingdom, finally runs afoul of his bitter enemies, suffers, dies, & is resurrected after 3 days. This is the
total pattern of the sun god in all the ancient dramas”. (The Pagan Christ, p. 145)

When the Council of Nicea took place, the Emperor Constantine
- Declared the Roman Sun-day to be the Christian Sabbath
- Adopted the traditional birthday of the Sun-god, & the twenty-fifth of December, as the birthday of Jesus;
- Borrowed the emblem of the Sun-god, the cross of light, to be the emblem of Christianity;
- And, although the statue of Jesus replaced the idol of the Sun-god, decided to incorporate all the ceremonies which were performed at the Sub-gods birthday celebrations into their own ceremonies.

In the past two days, a pigeon and a magpie have "approached" me. That sounds silly, so let me try and explain..! They have seemingly sat around me, landing right next to me. The pigeon sat on my balcony table and refused to budge for a good two minutes, no matter how I tried to get it away. The magpie landed on the window sill outside my window at work, and stood looking in at me. Does this have any meaning, or am I just being weird? lol :o) Any answers or suggestions to what might cause it are more than welcome! :o)

Did you know the Emerald Tablet dates back a lot longer than the Bible and the Qur'an and was buried to protect it from religious zealots who were burning libaries around the world at the time around 400AD, the Emerald Tablet obviously had inscriptions that the fanatics did not wish to be released to future generations.. what do you think of this?

I have read that the Qur'an has some passages that even Muslim scholars find difficult to parse and have written reams of Quranic commentary trying to attempt to explain these passages. So does that say some of what is in the Qur'an is assumption?
I am sure that this is no different with some Biblical references as well.

Dont get me wrong.. I am not saying all religious references are wrong, there is most likely some truth to part of them, but it is most definate that over time man has had a hand at changing writings that were not meant to be changed.

It's more than four years since I graduated from high school, but I still feel like a school kid at times like this. There is a party happening tonight for a friend of mine who's tying the knot soon. Most of my school friends will be there, but I've totally branched out from them so much that I don't like their company anymore. These friends of mine didn't really complete school as they left after the tenth or eleventh grade. They did other studies, got married and have their own families now. They are all comfortably off. And, in the meantime, I carved my own niche of friends and work that I'm comfortable with, and I feel uncomfortable meeting my old friends after such a long time. It's like we have NOTHING in common now. To make matters work, I'm single. A few friends have commented on it in the past, and it really hurt me although I didn't show it. Contrary to what they think, I really am sought after, but I'm picky about my choice of mate. They just think I'm a failure.
Help me!

That must be frightening if it's possible. Imagine walking down a dark street and knowing someone was going to jump out of the shadows and stab you in the eye with an icepick? That's a gift I don't want. I'd rather be a good bowler.

If a person is subject to rasicm never before seen, flees from it, but feels the need to return; is there something wrong with that person?

I grew up in a multi-cultural city in Northern California. In '02, I moved with the family to South Dakota for health reasons. Lived there for 4 years. I am now back in California persuing a college degree, but I don't feel the same. I grew closer to my family, a stronger appreciation for my native roots; but I now know I have nothing here to stay for. Likewise, in South Dakota I encountered so much racism and prejuduces that I was beside myself and could not function unless in the embrace of the family I had never really known untill then. Someday I will no longer have them, and I need to start my own life sometime. It's just that I see now how translucent and materialistic California is, and probably always has been. What would you do?

I've been in love with someone for 7 years and while never in a relationship with her, I would love to be in one, one day. I love her with all my heart and would die for her. However, I am also a person who has a deep attraction to guys and find myself more attracted to males than females in general and a lot of times when masturbating, it takes SO much to get off to women, (sometimes even her) whereas almost instantly when thinking of a man. Although, I can get off to a woman. Anyways, I am crazy about this girl, nonetheless, and she is the most beautiful person I've ever seen and would love to marry and be the Father of her children, one day. In your opinion, and if so, explain why, do you think it would work and that a lasting relationship, if it happens, could last? Thanks!
