its funny when people make their own individual religion but belive in the same God as Christanity, Islam and Judaism, they forget to realise its trough these religions you belive in the God u belive , to (those ppl who r in cults, other religions after the 3 maine ones) without thse religions they wud not even had their cults and those individual relgions, quite pathetic really, its liike takig advantage of the the 3 main religons to make their own fantasies. if they belive in the same God as the 3 main religions but their own works then how can they say those 3 main relgious are fake, it was those religons which made u make ur own relgioons in the first place, aw bless those ppl lol.

Churches around the globe are more and more empty of followers. It is getting harder to find priests to lead the flocks. One reason is that the message is presented as too old, thus losing the younger audience. Another reason is that the general population is more educated. This puts a real burden on the priest to appear relevant to an educated audience. A new message is needed to appeal to modern people, one that is not anti-science and technology. Without that, religion will continue to lose appeal and fade away. Another possibility is that extremists in religions are becoming increasingly violent, and may cause a severe backlash by other members of society and cause them to be banned. It is very interesting to watch such and institution start to fade away. Certainly the conflict that many religions pose to the population in resisting change, opposing science and math, and keeping people ignorant will go away when that happens. It is a shame religions haven't been more creative so as to not have these issues and not be fading out.

yeah, religion is getting pushed back by modern science and improved education. the internet is a powerful tool for learning, and the smarter we get as a people, the more religious ties will be broken and superstitions healed.

That is not to say that we should stop working at saving the religious from their misunderstanding. The job is not finished in any way, shape or form.

I sure hope so. Church attendence in the socialist democracies of Northern Europe is at less than 10%. They have free health care, free college, no homelessness, much personal freedom, low crime rates, high literacy. It would be nice if we had these things in the USA.

Too many have child-like understanding of spiritual things. They can't get past the ancient story-telling way of teaching.
I'm sure there are many who think religion is outdated.
It's just wishful thinking.

I think there is a slide from organized religion in favor of more individual faith.
