My last question for a while. I really enjoyed debating topics, even with those of you who disagree with me completely and probably think I'm insane. Thanks for all the opinions and good information!

Lately it seems that people are asking mostly nonsensical questions. Also many Questions and Answers have been limited to a single sentence. Very few let thier opinion be known through elaboration or even rating the other answers, save for those who just give everyone else a thumb down so that they might get the points if the Asker never bothers to pick thier Best Answer.

I guess now, a great majority of you just see this as a points game?

That's fine, but I'm spending way too much time trying to find interesting answers, and getting pretty disapointed that people really don't seem to read other Answers.

When I started here, this was like a huge Editorial / Dear Abby and it was fun. I'll be back when it's not a fad for points gamers anymore.

Be Well, Everyone!

It seems to bring out all the idiots by us, "Oooh look at the pretty lights!". Where do people get the money from, to literatly watch it go up in smoke?! This has been going on since September and will not stop until the new year. People should be made to have licences and only organised bonfires should be allowed around the time of Bonfire night. Does anybody else agree? Please say i'm not the only one who hates it so much!

when in 7 states atheists are not allowed to hold public office nor be a witness in court.

Is it a case of freedom of religion as long as you have a religion

In the United States, some State Constitutions require a religious test as a qualification for holding public office. For instance The Bill of Rights of the Texas Constitution provides that an official may be "excluded from holding office" if he does not "acknowledge the existence of a Supreme Being." Similarly, North Carolina, South Carolina & Tennessee all have mandatory disqualifications in their State Constitutions from public office for those who deny God

the Temple incident, is this accurate, according to the Bible:
In the Temple incident Jesus and his disciples go to the temple and found people were buying and selling goods in his temple which was a place to serve to oppress the poor. Jesus overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, out of anger that his place for prayer and to serve those in need is a “den of thieves”.
Is that correct?

Allah is the moon god of Arabian Pagan worship. Thus it is a sin to kneel to Allah. Interestingly, not many Muslims want to accept that Allah was already being worshipped at the Ka'ba in Mecca by Arab pagans before Muhammad came. Some Muslims become angry when they are confronted with this fact. But history is not on their side."But history establishes beyond the shadow of doubt that even the pagan Arabs, before Muhammad’s time, knew their chief god by the name of Allah and even, in a sense, proclaimed his unity...Among the pagan Arabs this term denoted the chief god of their pantheon, the Kaaba, with its three hundred and sixty idols."
