My last question for a while. I really enjoyed debating topics, even with those of you who disagree with me completely and probably think I'm insane. Thanks for all the opinions and good information!

Lately it seems that people are asking mostly nonsensical questions. Also many Questions and Answers have been limited to a single sentence. Very few let thier opinion be known through elaboration or even rating the other answers, save for those who just give everyone else a thumb down so that they might get the points if the Asker never bothers to pick thier Best Answer.

I guess now, a great majority of you just see this as a points game?

That's fine, but I'm spending way too much time trying to find interesting answers, and getting pretty disapointed that people really don't seem to read other Answers.

When I started here, this was like a huge Editorial / Dear Abby and it was fun. I'll be back when it's not a fad for points gamers anymore.

Be Well, Everyone!

I know many of you still are very good at giving good answers and asking great questions. I just need a break.

Maybe once all this Political Garbage passes after the election things will get back to normal?

Also let me say I'm sorry, there's a couple of you that I've lashed out at recently.

Nobody deserves to feel bad and everyone has a right to their own opinions.

I promise I won't come back untill I can have fun with it again! =)

You DO have a point...

...but I think people like you are the answer - staying in to "engage" those people who DO want to hear from someone who thinks (even if we don't agree).

There are Points Hunters and Givers (some do both, and I suppose it's O.K., though one is better) in any group, in any place.

Still, it's your call - but PLEASE don't stay away TOO long!

I agree that it has become a game....check out the "leaderboard". I am not as smart as all of those people i am just interested in what people think, plain and simple. I'm sorry that i will only be able to answer this question and no others from u.

I would vote half n half. Brainwashed in terms of being lazy to think for yourself and just following others answers is where i agree, but there are those who abuse this system and instead of sincerely asking questions for actual help, there are those that stick homework questions and basically have answers hand fed to them and the actual meaning of hw goes down. But for those who can think for themselves and just need a little advice, this place can be wonderful for those who actually intend to give advice, not make rude remarks for answers.

Sorry to see you go , but you are right it is somewhat of a game , unless you need a serious answer then people seem to give helpful answers .

Well, yeah, some people are only in it for the points.
