I have know many Iranian people and call lots of them my close friends. Iran is a beautiful country, with many varied sights, traditions, and is part of the cradle of civilization. Iran was one of our closest friends in the world but we choose poorly with the Shah, but the pendulum swung to wildly with the power of the religious leaders who now control the country. The President of Iran has the unique honor of being a bigger joke then our own, one day before long I hope along with millions of others that Iran's people take control of the country once again and become the rational voice of the middle east.

Iranian people are fine, it's their government that isn't. We over in the States don't hate any country's people, we just hate many country's governments, because we see Iran's leader on TV saying how the end of the world was going to happen last August and things like that. Our media basically always portrays him as a terrorist, but I don't know the guy. I don't fall for everything our media says (they said there were WMD in Iraq) because they are wrong sometimes. We shake our heads and we have communist country's that blow their people' heads off (like China) if they say that their country should be fixed or that they think their president has bad ideas. We shake our heads at our government too. It definiteley is not perfect and it is very corrupt with many criminal politicians; (one just got arrested for molesting a little kid or something) I have never known any Iranians personally, but I know an Arab girl and teacher who are both very nice. I see more Irish people though, such as myself, because I live in an area where many Irish immigrants came to the US in the 1800's.

Some are cool some aren't never been to Iran so I only know what I read and it would be unfair to comment based on the lies told about the country by Ameica's corporate shill media. Historically I don't think Iran/Persia gets the credit it deserves for contributions to the western world.

I knew some Iranian girls- they were very nice and friendly, however the Iranian men i have come into contact with were total pervs and sleazy. However this may have been down to the fact that they were men, and not iranian. You get pervs in all nations and cultures
