Other than a procedural protection justice seems to be nothing more than codified vengeance. The wounded families query "Has justice been done" really means "Is the prisoner dead yet?" How has Hammurabi's law changed in all these centuries?" We still seek an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. We just go though a procedure in seeking these body parts.

there are CCTV cameras in the gym, he decided to have a workout and was busted and prompty lost his job.
his own private office isn't monitored by cameras and contains heavy things like wheelie bins and heavy planks of wood. he could've had a ghetto style workout and still have kept his job, seems like such a waste and further evidence that big brother is watching us all.

I am Roman Catholic by birth and go to a catholic school. I also go to mass every weekend. I have absolutely no problem with God, and infact i am 100% believing that he exists. The thing i have a problem with is people that abuse his word. for example all the Christian Activists protesting against South Africa making same sex mariages legel. I meen its not like they are changing the religion, they are just changing the law - which in my opinion is nesessary, for the constitution. I also dont believe that the 1st books of Genisis are real - that they r folk tales, and that big bang-evolution etc actually was God's plan.

Can I still be catholic if i dont beilev all these things. As i said I totally belive that God created me, but i dont like this using the bible as an instruction manual.
Any opinions?

We have all been friends since we were four years old. We went to the same Catholic school for 12 years. They attended masses and they prayed the rosary. They know whole doctrine of the Catholic faith. I just dont understand how you could know so much and still think we worship false idols. Get this some of them are even talking about converting to being Catholic because they've more exposed to it than their own religion. Aren't they contradicting themselves? Still love em to death tho.

I'm ready for the burn in hell answers here, so just be honest people, I am aware a lot of people in this world wish me harm / death for being gay, but why is it such a big sin or bad thing? people are always saying it's unnatural, so why was I born with these feelings / attractions? It wasn't a choice in fact like most gay men during my mid teens I was suiciadal because I did not want to be gay I did not want that life, but because it is not a choice I came to terms with the fact that I was gay and there was nothing I could do to change it, and to embrace it and face up to any homophobia that's out there. So why do you all make it so hard for gay peeple? Are you actually aware that many young gay people have killed themselves because of the abuse they have received, if it was a choice would you simply not become hetrosexual rather than risk losing your family, kill yourself, harm yourself, get abuse in the street etc etc?

Surely this is like having a black person wanting to join the Klan and arguing that the Klan should modernise or that the Klan charter can be interpreted in a way that makes it not racists.

The Bible is supposedly the word of God and stands for all time, unless God has the feminine perogative of changing her mind and therefore either you follow all the rules or you find something else to do. I don't play a game of chess and say that I'll only follow the rules of chess that suit me.

Surely gay men and women should form a new religion that does not explicitly prohibit homosexuality based on a prophet called Elvira La TrixieBelle or something even more unlikely like John Smith instead of whining on all the time that they want to be Christians.
