You can't change your TV to French as such, what you could do is get a cheap dish with a universal LNB and direct it to the French free satellite at around 5° west, then you will need a TV that can receive SECAM signals as well as PAL , if you only have a PAL ( English ) TV then the pictures will be in B/W . is it worth it

Don't worry. Your friend probably wants to improve his/her English skills and TV can be great to achieve that. I'm French and when I go to Ireland or to the UK, I always watch TV more than I do in France because it enables me to understand English better and it gives me funny conversation topics to speak with people there.

regrettably i do no longer think of you comprehend how a lot artwork you're soliciting for. Translating is an quite hard interest: issues are suggested in distinctive techniques in distinctive languages, one has to totally understand the text textile until eventually now even commencing as much as translate it. to boot your text textile is so stuffed with grammar and punctuation blunders that an further chore is levied upon the undesirable translator: he ought to first spectacular your blunders, making an knowledgeable guess at what precisely you advise, until eventually now even commencing the interpretation. i ought to translate your text textile, regardless of if it would value me greater than a number of time and attempt, sorry. yet please do no longer pay any interest to any of the translations tried above: it appears like they have been all achieved making use of computerized application translators, and that they are all undesirable. sturdy translations can basically be made via human beings - a minimum of we nevertheless have that benefit over the machines...

Assume you want to tune in to Frech TV stations. France uses Secam we use PAL for transmission. So unless your TV is a multi standard one you're out of luck.

I'm not sure what your question is.
But in any case, if she comes to your place, the best you can do for her is to talk to her in English, and let her be immersed in English culture. That way, she'll learn or improve her English faster.
I'm French, by the way.
