when the more christian idea is to live with him, if what they have with him is a relationship and not slavery?

i think the better question is WHY dont chrisitians try to live LIKE Jesus ......................................
really do the things he taught instead of getting hung up on all the shoulds and shouldn'ts .
he was the master teacher --------[hint,,,,, teacher]-----------to learn from and be like ......................................

I believe as a Christian, one should both live for Him and with Him.

I do not claim to be a perfect Christian. I do try to live for Jesus, so that I can live WITH him in the afterlife. My son died 2 years 4 months ago. I know he is in Heaven and I strive to join him there when it is my turn to go. I do not consider myself a slave. I desire to know and serve my savior.

why do you ask? it's actually every ones own choice... i mean, some Christians don't, and believe me i know many, and yea they try but many don't succeed... it's just, they think they'll get the best out of their lives by living 4 Jesus... and yea it might be true 4 some ppl... But i tell u some ppl who don't try think it's not worth it and they get everything out of life, and they're always happy... But i don't think that's true... it's just that feeling, u never know... but i guess they think it's good coz he lived (+died 4 us)

To "live" with Jesus is merely to strive to be like His perfect self. His loving, forgiving, wisest of the wise, humble, sinless, self. I try to walk in love, this is what it means to live for Jesus.:o]

Jesus is our example. He is the son of God. He came in the flesh to show us how to live. We live for him because he died for us. He shed his blood so we can be saved. It is not slavery. God does not command us to be saved or to follow him. He offers himself freely. It is our choice.I choose to live for God. I choose to have Jesus Christ as my example. I love God. I accept his mercy and grace. What a divine God we have. I will not betray the one who gave me life. I will bring the Father the love and honor he desrves. You will come to see the truth in time...if you want to see the truth. God will forgive you...just reach out and ask. Confess with your lips and soul that he is God. Confess your sins and ask him to lead your life. Then take up your cross and follow him. You will never regret it. Come home brother, we want to love you.

Jesus lives in us if we let him he is our guide. he was willing to die for us the least we can do is try and live for him

Because we LOVE him and respect him, and want to be with him for all eternity in paradise. We see what he has done for us, and to be real we just can't get enough of him!!!!! I Love my Brother JESUS and Heavenly Father!!!!!

Because "He" died for us, and took our sins away,so that we may have eternal life.....
And only through him,shall we enter the Kingdom of Heaven..
