Your ring your rules-why let anyone deter you from wearing something you like to wear. I have some fairly loud jewelry that I received as gifts from a favorite uncle-they are very old fashioned and some might say tacky, but they make me smile and remind me my uncle loves me. I wear them anytime I need a pick me up -even on a work day. They may seem out of place to an observer but are perfect for me. Wear what you want-you only live once-and if you do it right once is enough!

why not put the diamond in a necklace or have it set into a different ring that you could wear on your right hand.

High society or casual society?

Depends on the acumen of the society. Some will quickly recognize a marriage trinket turned into garnish.

Wear it whatever way you want to. Society won't balk at it they won't even know where you got it. I do not run by others rules so I say wear it.

I would say wear it. That is nobody's choice but yours. We spend too much time trying to please others anyway.
