Yes. I mean, I could elaborate, but it looks like you already have all the information... so... simply.... yes.

I believe there is equal opportunity bashing in the whole world that is not strictly centered on atheism. Broad sweeping hate and predjudice has covered not only our nation but every other nation in the world. Look at Muslims, Christians, Gays, Jews...you name it and there is a hate group for it. It saddens and frightens me that so few people today can sit back and take a moment to realize we all share being human as a commonality and that should be the bigger focus than things we cannot change about a person or group. There is good and bad in all, no country or religion or peoples in general are exempt.

According to a recent poll, yes. People would actually be less likely to vote for an atheist than a Muslim or Scientoligist. We are regarded as less trustworthy and less "moral" than nearly any other group. Without having done a single thing to have deserved the scorn.

Yes. A recent study shows them to be the least trusted group, behind even Muslims and Gays. We're the only group now that it is OK for politicians to say bad things about without losing standing.

I would not say so. Because the US is more of a secular country nowadays.
The thing is that there are christians still in the US and those christians are indifferent to other people who refuse to believe in their faith. That is why you think athiests are discriminated against because they are a little bit but that is only from a group of christians.
That does not mean athiests are the most descriminated groups in the US today. Not at all.

I would say that muslims are.

Homosexuals are highest on that list followed by Muslims. Atheists may be but are much lower on the extremists kill 'em list.

Those articles seem incredible in any country that claims to respect freedom of expression. American atheists must fight back against such blatant discrimination.

I'd say not. When less that 5 percent of the population can actually dictate to the other 95 percent, I'd say they're pretty privileged. (No 10 commandments in the courts, no prayer in school, no crosses on public property - even when the majority want these things.)

No. Try not to get yourself all in a fluster about your non-beliefs. Many other cultures are far more discriminated against than you.
