I've known quite a few atheists who were morally upstanding people. In fact, I would say that they were more upstanding than some of the so-called Christians I've met. Why do some people assume that you have to have religion in order to have morals? Morality is largely a matter of common sense. If you have any common sense at all, you judge the rightness and wrongness of your actions by their effect on yourself and on others.

Just got off the phone with one of my oldest dearest friends...he has disclosed to me that he has been "bug chasing" (unprotected sexual activity with PWLA's)
I am at a loss as to how to talk to him about this...
I dont want to end the friendship, but I am so angry that at this appears to be my only option..
Do I continue the friendship...or cut his azz loose??..how do I talk to him?...

The Ditzy, sorry, Dixie Chicks need to just shut up and sit down. They can't carry a tune to save their lives. Their political stance is as bad as their music. Anyone who supports this band of big mouths is crazy.

How many suggestions have been made in the bible about man being god. Are we gods because we know the difference between good and evil? But were not immortal gods because we were banished from the tree of life, did it not say that in the bible.
Are we living gods in the flesh, so that we may know our divinity?
Is this world just a creation of our chaos, and it is structured this way so that we may learn, or relearn what we already know? Just wondering? I wish you well

I got an email this morning from an old acquaintance. It was a forward that had photo attachments of pornographic pictures of a woman I know and her dog. I dislike this woman a lot. She has caused a lot of problems in the past for me, and I have not spoken to her in a couple years. I do have her email address and phone number still, however.

I think it's funny that these pictures are circulating, however I do feel sorry for her because I wouldn't want anyone circulating nasty pictures of me (However, the dog is a bit much- I would never take pictures like THAT). I feel like she has a right to know the pictures are circulating, but I don't want to start any more crap between her and I by being the one to contact her. I'm afraid she would somehow try to blame me for it happening or I'm afraid she would be rude to me if I mentioned it.

Also, her husband works for an internet company and I'm afraid to create a new anonymous account to send them because I'm sure he could trace it.

First let me start off by saying in Matthew 25 1-13 it indicates many will seek salvation but the door to heaven will be shut and eternal doom is sealed for those who dont except Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal savior.First the Dead will raise and those who are still alive will ascend and meet and see Jesus Face to Face what a glorious day this will be for those who seek rightousness and follow his word.

I have a born-again relative and she says that Darwin rejected his scientific theories ( I assume it's the Origin of Species ) just before he died and said that the Genesis story and the Bible in its totality was the true story of Mankind.
Is there any biographical evidence towards this ?

Maybe I don't know a lot about the naming of my generation (or am misinformed), but I hate the idea that we have no defineing qualities; therefore, we are labeled "X". I'm not sure what I would call my generation...but jeez, come on,..."X"??
If you can give further info on gen x, that would be great, or, even more creative, you could suggest a better name and give your reasoning.

The biggest current gap in science seems to be this: "What caused the Big Bang?" (Some may have hypothesized, but evidence remains hard to gather.)

But even assuming that God the creator caused the Big Bang to occur, there's no reason to assume anything else about God. Thousands of religions have arisen on this planet, and each has described God differently, sometimes vastly differently. Why would you assume your faith has a greater claim on God's nature than any other?

I just read another - and quite interesting - question about what the problem is that some religious people have with gay sex and gay marriage. And again, there it was - "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve". Please, people, restore my faith in the human race and move past this phrase, which is only used, surely, because of the lame rhyme. I don't understand the reasoning behind this. Is it because Christians do not accept theories of man as true and correct?
Is it because all scientific reasons explaining where Earth and man came from are only theory.
I have news for all of you. I have studied the big bang theory, and I have studied the theory of evolution. I've even studied mythology and other religions. It is all hogwash. Scientists cannot convince themselves that evolution happend, nor the big bang. The only truth is in Him. Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.

Who is truly closed minded? Those who only believe in what they can see, or those who can believe in what they have never seen?
Who has the harder belief? Those that listen to what man says, or those who obey God's word. It is easier to believe in what you can see.
May I suggest to evolutionist- don't believe in what a scientist said, do the research youself and see what you find. Do the same with the Bible.
