Maybe I don't know a lot about the naming of my generation (or am misinformed), but I hate the idea that we have no defineing qualities; therefore, we are labeled "X". I'm not sure what I would call my generation...but jeez, come on,..."X"??
If you can give further info on gen x, that would be great, or, even more creative, you could suggest a better name and give your reasoning.

maybe I should rephrase my question...I'm not totally offended, actually I'm more curious about the naming of generations. I am in my late 20's, so I am from gen x.
So, if anyone else wants to tell me not to be offended, go ahead I guess...but I'm really more interested in a creative answer.
Thanks.

Uh oh, offensensitivity...someone here is offended WAY too easily. Actually, the current generation of teens and younger twenties is referred to as Generation Y, because they tend to question everything ("Why?") There's nothing wrong with questioning things in your world and trying to change things for the better, but as with every generation there is that group that rebels against "the establishment" for the sake of rebellion alone and these narrow-minded individuals believe that they're free-thinkers when they haven't a single clue about independent thought and don't even know what they really believe. That group of individuals seems to be much larger in Generation Y than in previous generations...
