Most do, because they know that Christmas is a pagan related holiday that the Christians adopted. And they know that it really has NOTHING to do with Jesus.

Since most of the people I know are Christians, yes I recieve Christmas cards. I'm not offended by it. I know that it's in the spirit of the season, and they're not doing it to be insulting or anything. It's just a nice way of people telling me that they're thinking of me and my family during the holidays.
I send "Season's Greetings" cards, and have not once gotten a complaint from a Christian friend about it. I doubt they've even noticed there's no specific holiday mentioned.

even although i'm a Christian, i do not position self assurance in religious holidays and don't have a good time Christmas nor deliver Christmas playing cards. I deliver chuffed holiday playing cards. in this time of year, fairly contained in the united states of a, it really is a visit season. that doesn't recommend it must be a religious holiday, yet in straight forward terms a time to experience free and get which incorporates acquaintances and relations you do not see as typically as you'll want to do. The traditions of the season are pagan and that i see no reason to deny my relations the excitement of the chuffed feeling the season can deliver if I enable or not that is. even as someone needs me a contented holiday or possibly a Merry Christmas, I in basic terms evaluate they don't realize and are wishing me happiness. i visit continually use more effective happiness. Please do not take it as such an insult, because i'm particular the human beings do not comprehend the way you experience about it, yet they in basic terms want to allow you to comprehend they keep in mind you. a minimum of they considered you and cared adequate to deliver the cardboard to you. stay lengthy and experience free.

I send Christmas cards to my Christian friends, Chanukah cards to my Jewish friends, Winter Solstice/Yule cards to my pagan friends, and HumanLight cards to my Humanist friends. The whole world doesn't revolve around what I believe, after all. I respect that other people have their own beliefs, and I honor those beliefs and this season of joy. Some years, to save time and trouble, I send generic Seasons Greetings and Happy Holidays cards to all, but the intent is the same.

This one doesn't anymore. I attach a card of some description to presents given on or just after 25 December, but like to think of that being in celebration of a time of giving, based on the Pagan festival at the same time of year which has been celebrated way before the big JC came along. (Wasn't he supposed to have been born in September anyway? - hmmm, I smell a rat).

Yes we do. Regardless of the reasons for Christmas, it is still an excellent time to meet friends and family, and exchange gifts to reinforce how much you appreciate each other.
I just tend not to send religious cards - don't want to be a hypocrite

Why not, after all the 25 of December has nothing to do with Jesus...
In actual fact they should be called 'Mithras Cards' for the 25 December - Mithras was the central god of Mithraism in the Roman Empire.

There are a lot of cards that say "Happy Holidays" or "Seasons Greetings" instead of "Merry Christmas." These cards send a secular message during the holidays.
As for myself, I pick out card that say "Merry Christmas," because I celebrate the birth of Christ.
