I am a nurse, and I had a patient (private duty twelve hour shifts within the patient's home) her name was Ivy.

Working there was six months of pure hell. Ivy was not a stereotypical 'southern' style racist. One that is upfront, honest, and you can immediately dismiss as 'ignorant'. She was born and raised in California, well learned, well traveled, prestigious family, etc.
That six months, while caring for her, and trying to bring goodness to her life as her nurse, I also became her friend. It took about three months, 60 hours a week (5 day shift) to RETEACH everything she had come to believe about Black people. It was perverse just how she had come to view black people.
The media helps perpetuate this as well. But have any of you......of ANY race ever experienced something so significant, that you will NEVER forget it????

There were nights that Ivy had me running to my car just so I could cry, scream, and PRAY. It hurt like hell, but I definetely grew from it, she did to.

If you could plan your next life , and you were told that you had only two choices, the first would be that you will have none of what the world holds valuable (beauty, wealth superficial suff), your life would be full of struggles and hardships OR you would have all the characteristics that the world will admire, but you will have no relationship with god, which would you choose?

I can imagine it,

in front of a grand counsel 10, before anyone could have children they had to pass a parentling class, common sense education, manners and "putting your foot down" seminar as well as show educational/ financial background and Mental/emotional health.


If they didnt get the go ahead from at least 80% of the cousel, they would not be allowed to have children and after 5 trys of never getting it right they would lose the priviledge completely.

Dear God I have been away from you for so long. I am separated from you. I have made some terrible and foolish decisions. I have hidden myself from you and filled myself with my depression, my eating disorder and my alcoholism. Please help me to stay sober. I am not drinking but I constantly entertain the thought of having that one drink that will make me feel better. I know it could never be just one, it will be ten or twelve. I am sorry I married such an irresponsible man. Please help me to tolerate his lying and those terrible things he does that you know. Help me understand my vows before you regarding for better or worse. Help me to lead this family. Thank you for my beautiful baby boy. I love my baby - he is a true blessing. Thank you for his smile, his eyes, his wonderful disposition and keep him safe and healthy. You know Lord that I would go downstairs and hang myself if it weren't for this little baby. Please fix my husband, I can't take it anymore.

The NWT adds the word "[the]" to the phrase "of our God and savior Jesus Christ" in 2pet 1:1. 2pet1:11, 2:20, and 3:18, which contain the same exact phrase in the Greek with the exception that these verses contain the word "lord" (kyrios) instead of the word "God" (Theos), but don't have the word"[the]" added to them. See Greek-interlinear. What is the reason for this gross of inconsistency in translation of this phrases? How would 2pet1:1 read if it had been translated the same way as 2Pet 1:11, 2:20, and 3:18, and the word"[the]" had not be added? What does scripture say about adding words to the bible? See Prov 30:5-6

Matthew chapter 1 describes the genealogy from Abraham and King David to connect it with Jesus. Verse 1:16 says, "And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ." This suggests that Joseph was the father of Jesus linking Jesus to Kind David, thus fulfilling the prophesy in Isaiah that the messiah would be a descendant of King David.

But according to Matthew 1:18 - 25 Mary was "found with child of the Holy Spirit." So Joseph really wasn't the father of Jesus, thus Jesus was not a descendent of King David, which means he wasn't the messiah.

What am I missing?
