we have STD's and AIDS, or Cancer and the flu?

Wouldn't our intelligent designer be intelligent enough to make us immune from those things?

Also, if intelligent design are true...why do squids have more advanced eyeballs than we do? Squids do not have blind spots like we do. Does that mean "the designer" like them squids more than humans?

Please explain.

John 8:3-11 shows Jesus preventing the death penalty from being executed. Can you find one (1) quote from Jesus where he supports the death penalty?

If not, in what way are you following His example by supporting the death penalty?

I believe in Jesus, in His Gospel, and in the value of Christianity. Even in if all turns out to be a myth, I am glad that i am a Catholic. The values intrinsic to the Gospel are GOOD values to live by. The seven sacraments are basically rituals of initiation and transition. The power of symbol and ritual on the human psyche is well-documented. The graces & virtues petitioned are ones worth having. The theme of death & resurrection is encountered everywhere: just look at the turning of the seasons. I know that that theme is prevalent in many ancient religions: it obviously addresses a need in the mind/subconcious of human beings.
I know very few fearful Christians - I mean, people who are Christian simply because they fear hell. The Christians I know are Christian because the Gospel has made a difference in there lives, in the way they live. Christianity is a good way of life. Why hate it?

and with who, it always ends up the way it should be.
your mistakes make you who you are, you learn and grow
with each choice, and you make everything worth it
so say how you feel, always be you & be okay with it

So, isn't an Agnostic claiming to know something about an ultimate reality that is by definition unknowable?

I believe in God but only out of fear that if there is a God and all of the things that we are taught about the Armageddon and so forth are true the I'd rather be a believer than not. However why would a loving God allow a mere serpent to tempt his prize creation. Why didn't God protect them from Satan - God is great right, why did he allow his angel to fall from grace and rule on earth as the evil mogul Satan to temp and destroy the children that he so loves. Why then let us suffer for years and years and expect that we know that god love s us and will reward us for believing in him even though we suffer. I just don't get it. why does a loving God continue to test our faith - or is the devil who puts our faith to a test.

For the atheist do you also believe that the devil is a myth?
