The definition of Agnosticism is 1 : a person who holds the view that any ultimate reality (as God) is unknown and probably unknowable. (Webster's Dictionary)

So, isn't an Agnostic claiming to know something about an ultimate reality that is by definition unknowable?

No. They 'hold' it, they don't 'believe' it or 'accept' it. There's a difference.

See my answer at the following question for details (it's essentially the same question you ask):

Having a little trouble learning to live with ambiguity? The fact that someone says they don't know and don't think it's possible to know is exactly that. Kind of like not knowing exactly how many atoms there are in the universe.

No, we don't claim to absolutely know anything about anything because there are no absolutes in this relative universe in which we exist, as far as we can tell.
