Do they want to eliminate gays? Do they want gays to hide away in secret in the closet? Do they want to criminalise homosexuality?

Why do we celebrate christmas with decorated trees, lights everywhere, $3000 worth of gifts for everyone, santa claus? Where did we go from worshiping Jesus to Santa Claus and all the material things he will bring us?

While vacationing in Alaska, I couldn't help but notice all the warnings about bears posted in campgrounds, visitors' centers and rest areas advising people not to feed the bears, how to avoid bears, what to do if a bear sees you, what to do if a bear attacks, and so on.

My favorite, however, was a hand-lettered sign on the door of a small gas station in a remote area. It said: "Warning! If you are being chased by a bear, don't come in here!"

There was a religious lady that had to do a lot of traveling for her
business, so she did a lot of flying. Flying made her very, very nervous,
so she always took her Bible along with her to read as it helped relax her
on the long flights.
One time, she was sitting next to a man. When he saw her
pull out her Bible, he gave a little chuckle and smirk and went back to
what he was doing.
After awhile, he turned to her and asked, "You don't
really believe all that stuff in there do you?"
The lady replied, "Of course I do. It is the Bible."
He said, "Well, what about that guy that was swallowed
by that whale?"
She replied, "Oh, Jonah. Yes, I believe that, it is in
the Bible."
He asked, "Well, how do you suppose he survived all that
time inside the whale?"
The lady said, "Well, I don't really know. I guess when
I get to heaven, I will ask him."
"What if he isn't in heaven?" the man asked sarcastically.
"Then you can ask him," replied the lady.

Is there something in the Bible that allows this? If you know where in the Bible this is located...please include that in your response. TIA.

I am not just talking about the current situation...I mean all wars and conflicts.

Again...not trying to offend I'm just curious.

So to all who will report this...go right ahead...I'll just ask another one.

Have a wonderful day.

Every human society throughout history and around the world has a belief in God, even though their understanding of God may differ. Our innate desire to experience the transcendent, to have value and meaning even after death, can only be accounted for if there is a God who implanted these beliefs and desires in us.The early Christian church father Augustine, said, "Our hearts are restless until they find their meaning in God." Don't YOU feel that emptyness that longing to fill that missing part?

I visit this older woman that enjoys cooking and surprising me with a meal, but she will sometimes make things that contain ingredients that I am either allergic to or don't agree with me. For instance, she once surprised me with a turkey dinner platter and put gravy on everything, not realizing or understanding that gravy and my stomach don't get along. How do I politely deal with a situation like this? I don't want to tell her not to cook at all as it will make her feel invalidated, but I don't want to get sick either. Please help!

Plus how can you feel pain with out a brain.
What is it a state of mind?
O wait we don't have minds when we're dead.
I kicked a tree once, did'nt seem to scream out in pain, maybe....because it's dead?

I was raised Christian, but the more I learned, the more it became clear that the whole story of the virgin birth, son of god thing is basically a collection of stories other sects were telling before the time of christ. Christian principles of love are great, but the story itself is an allegory. Actually believing that christ was born of a virgin and rose from the dead is akin to believing in magic. Any other fallen Christians, Jews, Muslims or anything else ot there?

I have my entire ladybug costume, except for the antennas. Everwhere I go, they're sold out! The only ones I found looked cheesy and were meant for an alien, not a ladybug! Any ideas on how I can make my own antenna???

I have never worn a veil in my life..but there are sometimes when I think it would be nice...
When I have a bad hair and I get a big spot on my nose :-( ..When my stomach feels bloated...Or I just can't be bothered putting make-upon..
Surely we have all had those times when we don't want anybody looking at us, and would rather be invisible??

And men too must be tired of the need to shave and keep up apperances..Wouldn't a veil be great for hiding that stubble?

Or to protect your face from the smog and pollution of modern cities.

I have NEVER commited a crime in my life, or plan to...but I get sick of all the constant surveilance and video crameras everywhere..That are like big brother in 1984..

I don't want anti-Muslim answers please..but I am curious if anybody else sometimes thinks IT WOULD BE NICE TO BE ABLE TO WEAR A VEIL IF YOU WANT TO(and some people make that choice)?
