I have my entire ladybug costume, except for the antennas. Everwhere I go, they're sold out! The only ones I found looked cheesy and were meant for an alien, not a ladybug! Any ideas on how I can make my own antenna???

i think everyone will say pipe cleaners and i agree buy a black head band and then wrap the pipes around the top of he head band, then by the Styrofoam balls from a craft store and paint them black and stick the pipes in the balls but you might want to put a little super glue on the end of the pipe so it will stay in the ball better..... good luck !!!

Take pipe cleaners or if you don't have access to that - take a cardboard box or even a shoe box and cut out the antennas the size and length you want - paint or crayon them black and use plastic hair crescents and tape or glue to it - if you don't have the crescents plastic hair item - take string/yarn the color of your hair and weave it till it is strong enough to hold your antennas and glue or tape them on the string - good luck and have a great time!@

I would say to twist a few pipe cleaners together for stronger support(so they don't fall down all night) and find a fuzzy ball or small styrofoam balls to put on the top of the pipe cleaners. Attach the pipe cleaners to a thin head band. All materials need to be black!

You can do lady bug antenas with a 1 hair band and 1 wire coat hanger, 2 small styro foam balls, gliter, Hot glue gun, Cut the coat hanger to what ever size you need hot glue gun it to the head band and stick the styro foam balls to the ends put some glitter on then and voila you have lady bug antenas I did this a few years back for my lady bug costume and I won first place for a costume contest. Good Luck with your progect and Happy Holloween.

You could take two metal hangers.. cut them to the size antenna you want.. spray paint them black.. take pipe cleaners and wrap them around the hangers.. they don't have to cover the whole hanger.. get two black pom-pom balls and put them on the ends..
get a black head band and put a hole through the head band, just big enough to put the end of the hanger through.. bend the hanger so its flat against the head band.. then take a thick black fabric and put it where the hanger is bent.. good luck..

Mainly what others have said: pipe cleaners, fuzz balls/beads, and a headband. Or you could check out another store. (I'm going as a ladybug too - and I know for a fact Party City has them.)

Red glitter would be a cute touch! ^_^

Get a black headband and black pipe cleaners. Tie the pipe cleaners around the headband and curl the ends for antenna.

Get some black pipe cleaners. If you can't find black, spray paint them. Put foam balls sprayed yellow on the end (don't forget the hole!), and attach them with Elmer's craft glue (you once could get this from a grocery store, but I don't know if you can now). Try your local craft store(s). Whoa-la!
