lord krishna is considered an incarnation of GOD.how can we justify many of his misdeeds?his friend yudhishter put his own wife,DRUAPADI on the stack in gambling. krishna never revolted against this.he promised not to pick a weapon in the war of mahabharat, but while the battle was going on with Karna, he breaks this vow.he had almost 16000 wives, most of them were wives of others, snatched forcibly by krishna.mahabharat was considered a DHARAMYUDHA, where the warriors faught in the day and met friendly in the evening with the enemy warriors.but krisahna broke all the rules of the war.in the final battle between BHEEM and DURYODHNA , krishna induced BHEEM to hit DURYODHNA under the belt , which apparently was against the rule of fight. if we see minutely the book of mahabharat, it seems to me DURYODHNA side is more ethical and righteous. pease do comment.

If so, why are you a member and what is your religion and denomination? If not, have you ever been a member of a church. Also, if you are not a member of a church, why not.

Mine is Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.
The extremely spooky character of Miss Faversham gave me gooseflesh not to mention the marshes, the fog and the prison hulks.
A real rattling yarn with a good scare factor.

Ok so the six weeks of Lent are an intense preparation for celebrating the sacraments of initiation. Read or recite the Apostles' Creed(or Nicene Creed). So the question is to name a truth about the faith contained in this prayer. What is the faith, contained in this prayer?

This is an open forum and we all have our opinions. Just wondering why some individuals can not be civil when answering. Some responses I can't even make sense of. Also, please use spell check...this may help. Would be nice if Yahoo offered grammar check...would help even more in trying to understand
the responses I see.

From Wikipedia: "Dum Diversas is a papal bull issued on 18 June 1452 by Pope Nicholas V. It authorised Alfonso V of Portugal to reduce any "Saracens (Muslims) and pagans and any other unbelievers" to perpetual slavery. This facilitated the Portuguese slave trade from West Africa."

Do you know what scripture he used to make this decision?
When was this papal bull reversed, by whom, and by what scriptural authority?
Has a pope ever apologized on behalf of the Church for authorizing slavery, as John Paul II apologized to the Jews for Catholic persecution?

Why is this not a contradiction of papal infallibility?

(and lest anyone think I'm out to bash Catolics, there were many churches that sanctioned slavery, such as the Southern Baptists who broke away from the Baptists specifically to recognize the scriptural basis for slavery...I'll get to you presently).

Lately, I have been accused of being a racist person.

I would like for you to take time out to review my Q and A.

Here's my view on racism and stereotypes:

Racism is wrong on both sides.

If you are proud of your heritage, good.

Just don't put others down.

Stereotypes are very untrue.

I certainly hate them.

When I see a person on Yahoo ansers with a Q or an A based on stereotypical views, I contest it.

I am a Black woman, and as you know, there have been a lot of bashing against black women based on stereotypes.

Because I happen not to fit into the stereotypes, I am being accused as a racist person.

I paid my way through school, out of pocket (don't you know how hard that is?)

I work for a living.

I pay my dues to society.

I have never recieved aid from the government

Niether am I fat, loud or have an attitude

Am I wrong for telling the truth? What does that tell you about the accuser?

Do my questions come off as racist?
