he already did when he died. You know it when you accept it.

Did you feel a sudden release of burden when you believed in Jesus' power to forgive and declared that He is your Lord and Saviour?

If you did, your sins are forgiven. But you must believe. Otherwise, you'll always doubt God!

God bless you! :)

If you have asked Jesus into your life and heart, and have apologized for the sin, turned away from it, and asked HIM for forgiveness then you have done the right things.

Sometimes forgiving ourselves is tougher than believing that God can forgive us. Also, being forgiven does not mean we will have no consequences for our sins. It just means we are right with God.

When all sins are forgiven you know because you will be with Him.. Heaven that is, because you do not need to die to reach.. You will be free of disease for one.. It is a long process, you also need to forgive others fully.. (sometimes I think I had but not thinking about something anymore is still not forgiving)// I think it takes years, for me it does and it is a real fight but one for the Glory of Love..

I actually feel chains lifted from my heart and other places in my body and spirits leave,, Cleaning your heart like that is what God wants us to do, like that we can find Him there back.. Now He is chained in...(He says He is like Houdini and always comes free)

Love

The most important thing I can tell you is that God loves you, and He doesn't want you to carry this burden of guilt any longer.

Furthermore, He has done everything possible to lift that burden from you. Our greatest problem can be summarized in one word: sin. It isn't only your problem; it's the problem of the whole human race. Because of sin we are separated from God, and down inside we know we haven't measured up to His standards.

That's why we feel guilty—and we feel guilty because we are guilty! The Bible says, "My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear" (Psalm 38:4). But we can't get rid of this burden on our own. We can deny it or suppress it, but we can't eliminate it by ourselves. Only God can take it away.

And that is precisely what He did when He allowed His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for us. Christ was sinless and pure—but on the cross all our sins were placed on Him, and He took the punishment and death we deserve. The Bible says, "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us" (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Don't carry the burden of your sin and guilt any longer. Instead, open your heart to Christ and by faith give your burden to Him.

It's important to note that it's not a feeling.
You know you are forgiven if you have sought forgiveness. That's the whole deal according to the Bible.

2 tests I guess: (1) when you have actually turned away from that sin, (2) when after doing 1, you pray and you feel the peace of Jesus in you.

Jesus taught his disciples to pray that their sins (debts) are forgiven as they forgive others'. This is one of the requirements, you yourself have to be forgiving. I'll let others add to the answer.

It's important to always open the Bible and look to it for the answer's to life's questions. Everyone has their own opinion, but God's Word is truth.

I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Christ forgives our sins when we admit that we are a sinner and in faith ask Him to forgive us of our trespasses against Him. Jesus Christ died on the cross of Calvary as the sacrfice for your sins and my sins. He wants us to accept His gift of forgiveness and eternal life by calling upon Him for His mercy and forgiveness. When you do that, you are forgive (past, present and future). God keeps his promises and He promises to forgive those who seek His mercy and those who place their faith and trust in Him.

If you repent of your sin and ask in total faith, believing that He will, then you will be forgiven. God bless you.

First, you must be born again, Jesus said that, it is God's Word.

Then you ask for foregiveness, sincerely.

Beyond that, God's Holy Spirit will tell you the rest if you are sincere.
