My stay at The Savoy, Bournemouth, was with WA/Shearings and after booking my break I came across this website. I was horrified and tempted to cancel my trip after reading other people's comments but I am pleased I didn't. My husband and I have just returned from a very pleasant stay. ........"

I have stayed in many hotels in bournemouth as i go there yearly for functions, but i prefer the metro once the stakis then the hilton but unfortunately that will be shut for refurbishment until further notice. My next function will be at the Elstead which is a little further from the town centre but cabs are cheap as distance from centre is so little. I have stayed there once before and it was grotty but i went for a trial night and they have total refurbished. GORGEOUS/BEAUTIFUL delete as appropriate.
As for the savoy it has never really caught my eye.
I stayed in the suncliff and to me no offence but it was like fawlty towers.
So my shortlist comes down to:
Metro (once hilton and stakis)
Royal Bath - very la di da!!
The Elstead - Brilliant for functions - close enough to the centre but far enough from the madness. I think ladies and gentleman we have a winner ding ding ding!!!
Well i hope you like it -let me know - oh and enjoy your stay

Well, Philadelphia has gotta be the king of idiot broadcasters. With the addition of Gary Mathews to an already pain stakingly painful Chris Wheeler, I could go on for hours. Sarge's keys to game seem to crack me up. Most of the time its: Score more runs than the other team, or for the pitchers not to allow as many runs as the opposing team. One of my favorite insights was the know-it-all personality of Chris Wheeler during Spring Training this year. When Harry Kalas was remarking on how beautiful the Phillies's Bright House Networks field was, Chris Wheeler repsonded with: "They've got one better over in Arizona." Truly painful coming from a guy that's never picked up a bat in his life.
